  1. You know this how? Please supply specifics, otherwise this is just a brain-fart.
  2. I've not spent any time underneath either vehicles, and I don't see any underpinnings to compare when you look at them in a parking lot or on the street. Awkward? Maybe. Foppish? Again, you have a strange sense of aesthetics. Funny how the market disagrees with you. Foppish.
  3. "Foppish"? You're entitled to your opinion; mine is that you have a strange sense of aesthetics. Foppish? Yeah, right.
  4. "I'll agree that Ford can barely look after itself," — you're entitled to your opinion. Mine is that since 2006, Ford has been looking after itself just fine, thank-you. A lot of the problem is etch-a-sketch memory, plus drive-thru impatience: so why isn't Lincoln as successful as the Germans, already? It will take another 10 years folks, meanwhile I trust Ford will continue too look after itself very well indeed.
  5. "I still think they should have bought the slightly larger Torneau though ( spelling? )" — it's got a longer wheelbase; height and width are the same on the Transit Connect and the Tourneo Connect.
  6. "with the exact same bore and stroke as the old Eco-boost 2.0." And what's wrong with that? Why change it?
  7. 4 x 4 Transit. http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/check-out-the-first-ford-transit-van-to-try-off-roading-1702037048/+travis
  8. http://www.indiancarsbikes.in/cars/india-new-engine-sourcing-hub-ford-nissan-81710/ "Ford’s Dragon engines may be ready by 2016-17,and the American car maker plans to produce 1.5 million units of the 1.2 and 1.5-litre engines a year globally, according to a source."
  9. http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/10/ford-eyes-return-to-small-pickup-segment.html Great rendering, check it out.
  10. Well, bully for Toyota, but just because Toyota adapts its hybrid to 12 vehicles does not necessarily mean that Ford should follow suit. Maybe Toyota will make a HiLux hybrid. Maybe Ford will make a Transit Connect pickup, and offer a hybrid.
  11. IMHO, it would be nice if the tail lights made it to the production vehicle.
  12. This is a question? If ugly is vanilla, the Lexus "Predator" grille is pure vanilla, along with Acura and Nissan/Infiniti.
  13. "And what we've seen with Colorado is by the time you do that and have a decent bed, it's almost as long (off by a few inches IIRC) as a Silverado, and being a bit narrower." That's why, IMHO, if Ford does a narrower small truck, they'll use the Transit Connect, as the platform is the right size and already exists.
  14. You're right. Of course, it's the previous model, and done privately. Here's a second generation render: http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/despite-flood-of-rumors-ford-says-no-small-pickups-no-1644300119 http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/10/ford-eyes-return-to-small-pickup-segment.html Has a fine rendering by Mark Stehrenberger.

  16. AKA the Grand Tourneo Connect. 400 mm longer, or so. Seats 7. http://www.fordglobalfleet.com/tourneo-connect/features
  17. Now how about an Edge Sport RS, with the 3.5 EB?
