  1. The Corsair is the best styled Lincoln in my lifetime. But styling is subjective. Nothing about the exterior of the Corsair inherently makes it a Luxury vehicle. Likewise the interior; what some would say is Luxury others would say is gaudy. If Lincoln’s interiors are what define them as luxury then what are Audis? Other than style (and 62-way seats) what sets a Lincoln apart from a Ford?
  2. How does one define a Luxury vehicle? Is a Tesla a luxury vehicle? Is it price? Is a $90k truck a Luxury vehicle? Is it the dealership experience? If the dealership experience is no better (or sometimes worse) than a mainstream brand (Genesis, Lincoln) is it a luxury vehicle? Is it ride quality? Does it have to float? If so what about the Germans? Is it features? Which one? Large screens? Airbags? Power windows? 62 way seats? Which feature does a Lincoln offer that a Ford does not? Speed? Which Lincoln is faster 0-60 than my Mach-E? Leather? Is a Camry with leather a Luxury car? BarcaLounger Interior? What brand other than Lincoln offers that? The problem with Lincoln is even basic cars offer features that a couple decades ago were luxury items. True luxury brands have gone down-market, mainstream brands up-market. There is no reason Ford cannot compete with Luxury brands with the right product. There are plenty of people who have an F150 parked next to their Mercedes. Lincoln has a Mercury problem.
  3. The only thing Lincoln offers that Ford does not is 62 way seats and an overstyled interior.
  4. Saw a Landtrek this afternoon in Chicago of all places. (MX plates) It wasn’t a bad looking truck.
  5. I see zero reason to keep Lincoln around, especially with the coming BEV transition. Lincoln will never again be an upper echelon brand, and there is no reason a high end Ford cannot compete in the market Lincoln now competes. My Mach-E is every bit the luxury car as it’s competition. A similar Lincoln BEV would be redundant.
  6. The Mustang and Mach names had zero association with an electric four door CUV, before they did. Ford is building sub brands. I wonder if instead of (or in addition to) a Mustang sub brand there won’t be a Mach-E sub brand.
  7. How about the early 2015s missing seam sealer that filled with water? My 2015 Edge (no leaks) has been a rattle trap since day one and features the patented Ford rocking chair seat.
  8. The KIA BEV looks more luxurious.
  9. I only got the 250. My garage at work has free L2 charging so that’s where I do the bulk of mine.
  10. 3,000 miles on my Mach-E. Have paid less than $60 to charge. Rarely charge at home. Zero issues charging when on the road.
  11. Per Mike Levine it’ll be $3,900 and will be BYOB(atteries). Batteries could be a challenge.
  12. Hope AstroGlide doesn’t pull a GM and sue
  13. “ActiveGlide” sounds like a… Nevermind.
  14. Yeah, was thinking that too. While I keep expecting another Mustang (coupe, CUV, sedan) it would surprise me for the sedan to be an ICE at this point. But if it is for BEV development then why not a Model S/3. Could also be about the engine and have nothing to do with the body style.
  15. The GR-1 was supposed to follow the last GT. Man that was sweet. Wonder if Superformance will still end up building it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Shelby_GR-1
  16. The testing issue only applies retail and not racing - right?
  17. Someone also bought an FJ Cruiser in 2021, 2014 was the last model year in the US. (Ha, didn’t see RMCs post you replied to).
  18. Mach-E was pretty close. A few early models had issues with the 12v battery, but was fixed quickly.
  19. Well the mods are beasts, now they have a push-rod to play with.
  20. They should have just bought Rivian. If Tesla had a truck and SUV similar to the Rivians I’d be worried. The Cybertruck will sell well, but to the faithful who wouldn’t buy a real truck anyway. If anything I see it selling to Tahoe/Expedition buyers.
  21. Yeah, I lucked out as the small Ford dealer twenty minutes away that had our Flex in stock turned out to be awesome. I’ve serviced my last four Ford’s with them and bought my last three from them. The big Ford store closest to me is awful. I have twenty options within thirty minutes of me though, so if something happened with my preferred store I’d go somewhere else.
