  1. Ford definitely has an issue with the EPAS. I had the EPAS replaced earlier this summer on our 2013 Explorer Sport, which had 55,000 miles, and it hasn't been right since. It will have to go back again for another replacement, per the service department. Fortunately Ford picked up all but $300 so I don't feel too bad about the situation. Nevertheless, they need to figure this out because it's not good publicity for one of their best selling vehicles.
  2. Sergio Marchionne should be fired for his comments about the 200 and dart. Even if you thought your products were POS's, to actually publicly state that is a deriliction of your duty as CEO. If you have no faith in your own products, how is a consumer expected to. The current 200 was far better than the outgoing model and it certainly could not have been worse than the Hyundai rental I recently had. I'm sure everyone can recall the days when people considered Hyundai an inferior brand. Now look at them. It's no wonder FCA's car sales tanked.
  3. They used to hold a pro motocross national race at Englishtown. Any idea why they stopped having the race there?
  4. Ahh, another poster than thinks he knows what's best for other people to drive. The best thing about today's trucks is they are multi-use in vehicles. Perhaps you should worry more about your own personal vehicle use and less about other people's "personal commuter vehicles," since you really don't know anything about those people or what they actually use their trucks for.
  5. Let's be real, 95% of Range Rovers don't even see soft roading, considering their off-road capabilities. I do believe that the Navigator should be different than the Range Rover, as the Range Rover is purposely only built with two rows of seating because they believe it to be a straight luxury vehicle not a family vehicle. I learned this while doing research on a full size replacement SUV. Much to my dismay there was no third row to be had.
  6. Hi Cyberdan, just checking in to see if there is an update. If production still hasn't begun, do you have an idea when it might? Thanks in advance!
  7. As it should. There should be some corporate pride at the local track.
  8. That's so you can use your daily driver to tow your race car to the track, lol. Seriously though, those cars look badass!
  9. Jeeps are nice, but they are not Range Rovers, and I for one would not pay that kind of price for a Jeep.
  10. Although I really like the current Land Rover style there's something about the rear quarter of the Discovery I'm unsure of. I'm not convinced the rear quarter of the vehicle jives with the front portion. I think ultimately i need to see this vehicle in person to pass judgment whether I like it or not.
  11. As a current Raptor owner and a patient buyer of the next generation Raptor, I say bring it. The competition will only make the Raptor a better product. I would have preferred a V8 EcoBoost in the new generation and 37 inch tires, so this new Ram could force their hand on making some changes in the near future. I'm surprised it has taken Ram/Dodge this long to try to do a production truck, as they have had the Ram Runner kit available through the Mopar catalog which allowed you to build a competent truck that was comparable to the Raptor. Does anyone know why they wouldn't have built a production truck since the parts were basically available through the Mopar catalog? I know it is basically a Raptor knockoff, but I do think it looks good, and I'll bet it is competent. However, I think "Americas off-road truck leader," is quite a stretch. That media release is chock full of hyperbole, and I got a good laugh out if it. Kev-Mo, your tundra fanbois are smoking crack, there is no comparison between the Raptor, or this Ram, verses the TuRD.
  12. I like technology but I also like to drive, so as long as the two can coexist I will cautiously accept it.
  13. I hope the new Bronco bares some similarities to the Troller, as I agree it is a good starting point. Just make sure it can go topless.
  14. I love technology and the new safety features but if the vehicles simply become appliances, I feel the personal connection to vehicles will diminish greatly, if not disappear. It also doesn't seem like there will be a need for as many automobile manufacturers, as there won't be a significant need for differentiation in performance, with the exception of the shape of the vehicle shape and interiors.
  15. Am I understanding this correctly, that the public is testing the autopilot future? They never talk about the testing they have done.
  16. And if you think Hillary gives a rip about you or any of your counterparts you are sadly mistaken. She will sell you down the river so fast if it is politically expedient for her and her desire for power. Just ask your police union brethren how it's working out for them.
  17. I don't doubt that. I recall that even the 5.4 felt powerful in my 2007 Expedition, way more than it did in the four speed F-150.
  18. Clearly beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because I don't see how you can conclude that this is better looking than an Escape. It doesn't look significantly different than the outgoing model, as typical with GM redesigns.
  19. Meh, it's not that interesting looking.
  20. The last time I checked, this is a free country and people can buy what they want. When some third party begins to tell people what they "need" we have a problem.
  21. You won't hear me complain about how much it costs to drive my truck and it's used for a lot more than a car. You don't buy a truck and expect good gas mileage. If you get good mileage it's a pleasant surprise.
  22. Let's not inject "microaggession" terminology into auto discussions. Let them keep that rediculousness on the college campuses.
