  2. The market is always rigged.. I work for one of the largest retail chains out there and I can tell you that we can average a low of a few cents per gallon of profit/margin on gas when we are very volatile and competitive with others and up to 25 cents a gallon when the market is slow (prices drop but we maintain our price). It is always quick to rise and slow to fall because people don't realize the true cost and we can take in more profit. Example, I have a sister station that is 7 minutes from me that is almost 20 cents cheaper then me. Not only that but diesel margins are generally 40-60 cents a gallon so although diesel is "more expensive" to the consumer, the margins are much higher so the true cost is not much more. It's all a game... For the first time I've found a station that is selling diesel cheaper then regular in my area. I have not seen this since 2008.
  3. I've seen a few people with Explorer's that had spider webs built up causing the gas nozzle to keep triggering off prematurely since it blocks the vapor vent.
  4. Didn't see a sales post yet regarding F series.. sorry if this was posted somewhere else. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ford-finally-turned-around-flagging-175731195.html
  5. So the first article linked here states: And then a few hours later: Mitsubishi confirms they are closing the US plant and going to try to sell it. lol.. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/report-mitsubishi-motors-end-us-production-064547248.html I know it is just PR and is the typical response but very comical that in the same day a "no decision has been made" to a "here is our decision" type of response lol.
  6. This honestly doesn't surprise me. I'm sure some are tired of me talking about the damn Explorers but this has been going on with them for 4 years as well. Even the 2015MY are having water leak problems. They stem from the roof racks, the seam/seals fail or were not properly done and water seeps into the interior by the 3rd row and down the side or down the 3rd row seat belt. Some also had the front carpets soaked as well and dealers found the drain tube from the moonroof were never connected. Some owners never new about this until they needed their spare tire and found that half of the spare tire wheel well was filled with water.. yes 6"+ of water. It's really a shame that Ford has to be put through the ringer on this crap but come on, as stated, no excuse for this in 2015 for water leaks. 2013 Sport: http://vid1280.photobucket.com/albums/a490/BrokenStrut/IMG_0027_zps4f17888e.mp4 http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...psd7fa8888.mp4 Another one Another one Not trying to change the subject from one vehicle to the Explorer but Ford really needs to step up their quality control with this across the line. Water leaks are happening and there is no excuse for it.. especially when you are talking several MYs.
  7. It is very confusing on what the true issue is/was with MFT. I think there were a ton of issues with bad APIMs (computer that controls MFT) and Ford announced a 5yr/unlimited mile warranty on that part. Ford has come out with many updated software versions which I believe is the true issue with MFT. Ever since v3.6 came and now 3.7, MFT has been pretty flawless for most (if you know how to operate it correctly). I think the 2 biggest issues with MFT are 1) Big learning curve and 2) these reviewers/magazines/testers etc seem to have something really against Ford and trash it no matter what. I personally LOVE MFT in my Explorer and my F350. My F350 has been completely flawless and my Explorer, not so much up till 3.6... in the past year, I've had it do 2 reboots but the functionality is great.. maybe because I've had MFT for 4 years now so I know what I'm doing. On a separate note, there have been more then a few PTU seals that have gone and have caused fluid to leak. I've yet to hear of one cracking and there are a few people on the Explorer forums that drive PIs and have given very positive feedback on them.
  8. Keep in mind Ford states 1,000 mile break in before towing... just an fyi..
  9. Finally an article that know what it's talking about.. they must be reading the comments here.. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/07/13/is-gm-getting-desperate-with-its-new-ford-bashing.aspx?source=eogyholnk0000001
  10. I think the refresh looks awesome compared to what it did look like. I always thought Chevy was the worst of the 2 (Chevy vs GM) regarding front ends. The only thing I do not like about it is the body color area between the two LED strips. It looks off to me...
  11. Not sure where to post this as it could go in the SD forum, the Ford Motors forum or continue on here lol. Just got an update that production of the 17 SD has been delayed. Job 1 was supposed to be 4/25 and has now been pushed to 3rd quarter.. 16MY cut off for orders was mid November and they've extended it to June of 16. Not sure why the big delay but for anyone who was waiting on a 17 will be waiting a bit longer.
  12. Window sticker is generated 5-7 days before build date. Build weeks are always listed as a Monday which 7/27 is. You should have a build date the week prior as scheduling is normally a week by week basis. Scheduling for next week is set this week etc. Anywhere from 7/21 and later you should be able to pull up your window sticker (again, 5-7 days but typically it is 5 days prior). As stated above, usually you are looking at 2 weeks once it is built on average but delays for shipping can happen for one of many reasons.
  13. Do you have a tablet that runs iOS or Android? I know you said you have a Windows phone but if you have a tablet you can do this as well. I have an app that I use with a wifi OBDII adapter that monitors hundreds of PIDS among all the computers on the vehicle. Screen shot on my tablet of my F350 Just a few of the computers you can monitor of the vehicle and then there is dozens to hundreds within each computer. Bet $20 ever spent (OBDII and app).
  14. They should have used square wheel wells like their trucks.
  15. I have to admit and then probably vomit for actually admitting it... but I really like the look of the SS in these pictures (minus the black rims)... https://www.yahoo.com/autos/s/2016-chevy-camaro-ss-caught-wild-110017691.html
  16. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/07/08/2017-ford-f-150-raptor-desert-testing/ Truck ran for 1,000 miles...
  17. I know there are some pics out there of the GT but saw this article mentioning the official gallery that was released today. http://www.roadandtrack.com/motorsports/news/g6330/ford-gt-le-mans-car-gallery/
  18. Good question.. no clue. Based on the NHTSA article, it is only 11-13 Explorers so Ford must feel they have corrected the issue by the 14MY. I have seen a few post of failures on the 14/15 but could see it as just being crap luck on a defective part. Hopefully Ford will step up where they need to elsewhere.
  19. As many know, I've chimed in quite a bit on the Explorer EPAS and how I feel Ford should be recalling them all. Well they finally stepped up and extended the warranty to 10year/150,000 miles on them. Although I would like to give them credit for this and say "way to go Ford", it has taken them almost 5 years to finally admit this and do something worth a damn for the customer. Regardless, they are now admitting there is an issue with them (which tells me this is a much larger scale then just a few failures) and there are many Explorer owners that will get getting refunds. Although a recall and replacement of them all would have been my 1st choice, a 150,000 mile warranty is #2 in my eyes and a decent time to have a part covered. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs...4V286-6751.pdf
  20. Could I get an update on this one? Any chance an ETA is there? Thanks so much!! 1FM5K8D80GGA25265
  21. Confused on if you were posting because you thought this was new news or posting just for the article. Sync 3 has always been reported to be Blackberry QNX based.. if it was the latter, then ignore my post lol.
  22. It will slowly increase speed the hotter you make the temp. despite it being 90 degrees outside and lets say 110 inside the cab. So for example unless it wakes up after the 10 minute wait where it will go full blast cold. it will be on speed 1 at LO, speed 2 at 65, speed 3 at 70, speed 4 at 75, speed 5 at 80 etc etc. It's the complete opposite of what it should do. So it is blasting HOT air at you when you are trying to cool the vehicle down (think, 110 inside with a thermostat set to 80) but blowing cold air at the slowest speed with it 110 inside with the thermostat set to LO or 65 for example. Again, if you power off and then back on the HVAC system, it acts exactly how it should. This is remote start specific with the SD only once you put the key to the on position.
  23. So I along with many others are at our wits end in regards to the Superduty (2013-2015) trucks with MFT and remote start functionality. We as owners are tired of being told that it is "normal" when the SD is the only vehicle that acts like this. Now lets go over the issue between my 2011 Explorer Limited and my 2015 Superduty Platinum. Situation - 90 degrees outside, windows closed. Explorer - set on automatic and LO for temp 1) Remote start vehicle to cool inside down 2) Enter vehicle after 10 minutes (still very warm/hot inside) with it still running, step on brake and hit start/stop button 3) Cluster powers on, MFT screen boots up, HVAC systems shuts down and turns back on quickly (fan speed) and it then behaves just as I had left it (going full blast because I still have it at LO with AC and automatic). Superduty - set on automatic and LO for temp 1) Remote start vehicle to cool inside down. 2) Enter vehicle after 10 minutes (still very warm inside) with it still running, put key in and turn to "on position". 3) Everything powers on just like the Explorer (this is where it now behaves incorrectly). 4) HVAC fan stays on slowest speed despite it being set to LO and vehicle still being very warm/hot 5) IF you turn temp up hotter, fan speed INCREASE.. yes.. if I set the temp from LO to lets say 80 degrees with it being 90 degrees outside, the fan will go FULL BLAST. Turn the temp back down to 65 or LO and the fan speed then goes to the slowest setting. There are 2 options you can do to fix this. 1) Wait 10 minutes and the system wakes up and the fan increases to full blast cold air (yet you are sweating inside waiting those 10 minutes) 2) Turn the HVAC system off and then back on again and it wakes up and acts as it should. Why the hell does the programming in these trucks go full blast when you increase the temp on a hot day but blow at the slowest setting at the coldest temp when it is 90 degrees outside????? IF I am bring the climate control temp closer to the inside temp, it should slow the fan down, not make it faster. Another perfect test for this is that when it is 90 outside, remote start it in front of you and then get right in and turn the key. IT will be well over 100 degrees inside and with the climate on LO, the fan speed stays at its slowest speed, turn the climate up to 80 and the fan goes full blast with heat!!! What Serious Ford, wake up and fix this. SD owners are complaining and we are being told this is "normal". It is not normal.. the Edge, Explorer, F150, Focus, Fusion all with MFT work the correct way.. only the SD is screwed up. Ironic that it is one of your most expensive vehicles and you won't fix this or acknowledge that it is an issue. http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/general-6-7-discussion/983826-2015-auto-climate-problems.html http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-7-powerstroke-interior-discussion/797234-climate-control-remote-start.html http://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/f152/remote-start-auto-temp-371089/ Come on Ford!! People have been complaining about this for 2 years now!!
