  1. I have never been in a more comfortable seat than the 97 Taurus I had with the premium cloth and power "air" lumbar. Sold the car for $1000 with 200K miles on it and the seats were still in great condition.
  2. I had a car wash break the sideview mirror off my Focus. I reported it so they could repair it but all I got was a letter from an out of state law office stating that they did not do the damage and would not pay to fix it. Cue typical lawyer joke here. My damage was not as much but I suspect you would get the same answer.
  3. i wouldn't worry about your 2008 Focus. I have one with 150K miles that runs like it will get another 150K.
  4. I have a 2013 Flex with tow package and 18's from the factory.
  5. Running Michelin X-ice XI 2 on my 2013 Flex and they make a world of difference over the stock Goodyear all seasons for MN winters.
  6. I have a 2008 Ford Focus SE deluxe with handling package and 5 speed with close to 130,000 trouble free miles. In Vapor Silver the vents look good. 1st Ford with Sync and it still and always has worked great. My Son took it over and he prefers it to the newer style and he is 19.
  7. It would help if it fixes the flawed interior of the current Taurus; lack of space and too large of a center console impinging on the drivers right leg.

    Hello!

Too bad you rolled it already.. Looks nice when I tilt my head to the left.
  9. I did a full set of the Huskys on my 2001 Expedition and for my 2013 Flex and for my next vehicle. They don't have any advertising on them as well and I like that.
  10. I didn't have time to look through the whole site but I remembered (probably a different thread) them talking about eventually ruining the transmission.
  11. Go here to see how they got to 600 HP on an AWD Ecoboost Flex. I think they may have found the limit for the transmission giving out but it has been a while since I read through this. http://www.fordflex.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=10881
  12. My point was that the Flex would be a much better seller if people actually took the time to overcome their initial reaction and drive one. Wouldn't hurt if Ford actually tried to sell them. I haven't even tried the ecoboost version either.
  13. Would she drive an Explorer? My wife would. But after the test drive she did not like it. I suggested she drive the Flex as it would also meet our needs. She said she didn't like the looks of the Flex and did not want to. I told her it would not hurt just to take it on a quick drive..... That was all it took. She was sold. Now she rarely lets me drive it.
  14. You will be happy with it once you have winter tires. Been there done that.
  15. I just built a maxed out 2014 Focus ST and it came to $31,015 before incentives. I then built the same car for 2015 and it comes out at $31,510 before incentives so it increased by $495.
  16. See: http://www.fordflex.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13645&hilit=PTU+cooler I believe Waldo is someone that has direct knowledge about the PTU's. From here it is stated they are the same between Explorer and Flex except for police units and maybe some Explorer sports that get a cooler added. I think Richard and Waldo would have some good conversations as they both seem to know much about Fords.
  17. Can you please provide some instructions on how to filter by Forum? I can't seem to find it.
  18. With the 6 speed manual available as well!
  19. You seem to have forgot that going from FWD to AWD costs more than a set of winter tires. Plus with winter tires the summer tires last longer. So net, yes you will save money with FWD and winter tires. I have also been on icy roads where no one could get going and I motored away in my Focus with Michelin X-Ice XI-3's. Prior to the winter tires that car with normal all seasons was the worst winter car I have ever driven. It was downright scary. The Flex showed almost as much improvement.
  20. I live in MN and bought a FWD Flex to save on gas and reduce complexity. I put some winter tires on it and I we are good to go. My wife really likes not having to deal with "tire slipping techniques" to turn a corner. The only thing that would cause it to get stuck would be deep snow that would also get an AWD Flex stuck.
  21. My garage door opener has a function to disable the remotes.
  22. I had it worked out before I stepped into the dealership. And as I stated I went with their first offered price. Can't get any quicker than that.
