  1. You do have to push it down three times to get it into drive. My wife has a 2014 GC, I personally hate the shifter. My wife has gotten use to it. I've never had a problem putting it in park, my major problem is going between reverse, neutral and drive. Unless I am looking physically at the gear shifter I am not in the correct gear. Also if you try to take it out of sport mode back into regular drive it will 90% of the time kick you into neutral.
  2. I mean 'technically' its Stone Green Metallic CC or Earth... Depending on what product its on.
  3. This one also drives me insane! The first time I saw it I thought it was a Toyota. I feel as though GM is catering to the lowest common denominator in these commercials.
  4. Its funny you say this because I completely agree with you. I cannot tell you how many times I've taken my wife's Grand Cherokee somewhere and I either don't have the FOB or the keys are locked in the car and I think to myself.... wow sure wish I had a keypad. Tailgating, camping, or just going somewhere where you don't want to take your keys... its just amazing.
  5. I honestly thought for sure that the V6 in midsized cars (at least for Ford) was a thing of the past. I am just extremely surprised.
  6. I heard you like rare things so I put some Titanium in your Platinum...
  7. It says "the window sticker for this vehicle hasn't been released yet"
  8. This is sad, because it was the only way I could look up for sure what options a vehicle came with.
  9. Doing a little looking around on Auto Trader, and was interested in what factory options a specific F-150 had and was not very pleasantly surprised to find Ford has shut down the link: http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FT8W3DT6DEA55309 It makes you request the window sticker through a dealer. I get redirected to this link now: http://pub.s7.exacttarget.com/ih54wl1qnoi
  10. I want to know how you become the guy that paints these things. Oh here is a sort of brand new vehicle with most likely a decent paint job, now go paint it with this rattle can and these stencil from my kids art class.
  11. The more I look at it the more I think you are correct. The front doors are huge, which was the first thing that struck me. I guess I didn't realize the new F-150 was that much wider than the current Expedition judging by all the cladding they have in the rear to be able to make it as wide as the front. I will say if they keep a similar front end to the F-150 this might be my next vehicle.
  12. So far it looks wider judging by the rear. I'm excited by this, my 2008 is getting up there in miles.
  13. I don't think Ford would give up the only thing that differentiates them from the Tahoe/Yukon in the fold flat rear row with IRS. We love our 2008 Limited, and compared to a friends 2009 Yukon, its night and day the added utility of the fold flat rear row. When I first showed them how you didn't have to remove the rear seats to fit anything in it they were shocked.
  14. Isn't the current Escape about the same size as the first and second gen Explorer?
  15. I ran into the same problem. I just rented it under a Mountaineer but showed up with an Explorer. The guy working the desk didn't care, he also couldn't tell the difference between an F-150 and a Lamborghini.
  16. I will say in my case GMC is the only GM brand that I would consider buying and actually cross shopped a few GMC models when deciding on my wife's Grand Cherokee. Its mostly because of styling. I HATE Chevy's styling, it also doesn't help that everyone under the sun in Lansing drives either an old CTS or Impala.
  17. It doesn't make sense for Ford to pick up Jeep, they already have a successful and well established SUV/CUV lineup. I could see VW picking up Jeep and maybe even Ram. It also doesn't make sense for GM to pickup Jeep or Ram but many things GM does doesn't make sense so they might.
  18. I'm pretty sure its a steel wheel under the plastic cladding. Also from everything I have read online and heard its a real PITA to get the cladding off the wheel. If it were me, I would just pick up a nice set of F-150 rims that are real aluminum or chrome.
  19. I stand corrected, you are right. Either way I agree its stupid to not allow any 2002+ Explorer to rent a trailer.
  20. You still can't. You have to tell them you either have an Aviator or Mountaineer.
  21. Exactly what I was thinking. I have a 2008 and the system operates pretty much the same. Selectable 4 Auto, 4 High, 4 Low, 2 WD.
