  1. It was sure easier back then to keep a secret than today. My dad keeps telling me about that warehouse the local Ford dealership had across town where they hid the cars until the official release date. He was lucky enough to visit it often with my dad (who sold Ford at the time). Sadly, he doesn't have any special memories about the Mustang launch. I can understand he was nine, and probably nobody at the time would have thought it'd be such an important event.
  2. Congrats for an awesome pony! Join us at MustangCanada.com, you'll love the community!
  3. Hey, they proved us the MKZ would be a flop. Just look how the M3-fighting ATS they begged for is successful!
  4. In TTAC's review, does anyone knows if they're comparing it to the E-Series Ford or the new T-Series? http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2013/10/review-2014-ram-promaster-cargo-van-with-video/
  5. That design language looks much better on the HD than the 1500s, IMHO. While the Sierra is ok, the Silverado looks very nice!
  6. Well with GM's underwhelming powertrain upgrade... This should be good until the next complete redesign.
  7. I was told 'they all do that'. Anyway, I'd like to go with something more aggressive on the next one. Heck, I bought the truck in december so it came out of the lot with winter wheels installed. The truck spent most of his life on the cheap Pacemark winter tire they gave me. I thought they'd be crap, I ended prefering them to the stock tires (except for the facts they looks like they came out of the 70s).
  8. We had an '08 Lariat with 18'' BFs and an '04 with 18'' Wrangler. The Wrangler were 10x times a better tire. My '11 Ranger came with Wrangler SRA. 15 000 kms (9 500 miles approx.) and are full of bumps. They're the crappiest tire I ever had.
  9. Dang, mine's engine is still apart for this special day. Would have loved to celebrate it with a nice cruise
  10. That's weight reduction, not rust. I guess you people with old mentality can't adapt to the new 'lightweight' trend.
  11. Could Ford continue building/selling that version there after we get a new model, allowing to keep the current Taurus/Explorer Interceptor as a fleet model only in NA?
  12. There's a really similar one running car shows around here, in black but with a goddam huge turbo. The seats have built-in ear plugs.
  13. Local dealer sold their first MKZ in less than a day. I saw yesterday morning they had received a new one, went to look at it after classes and it had a 'SOLD' sign it it. It's a pretty loaded machine, with the large dark wheels, 'panoramic roof' (Is that the opening one?). 52 000$ in the window (CAN $). Salesman told me both weren't pre-ordered. They're supposed to have 4 arriving next week and they placed an order for 5 more. He says they never had that much MKZ on the lot at the same time since the first gen/Zephyr.
  14. Could it be because it went up in prices?
  15. Dodge basically give their cars around here. They have '8500$ OFF' written in their showroom windows year long.
  16. Orlando seems popular around here, I've seen quite a few lately. Not seen a Trax yet however. Actually, I'll have to google it as soon as I post this to see what it's supposed to be.
  17. Don't cry boys, you have 5 lugs and 4 calipers. If you want to talk bad brakes, come try my HCI fox with the stock front disc/rear drums. You'll remember what 'good brakes' and 'bad brakes' are However, when I bought it in in 2009 with 105 000 kms, it still had it stock brakes and they were still good when I changed them. Why did FRPP stopped selling the Cobra brake conversion!
  18. Can't figure out how Chrysler can be the #1 seller around here. Maybe it's a regional thing, but around here in the Atlantic they're basically non-existent, except for the Ram 1500s and Wranglers. They made a big splash with the first gen 300 too. Last month (march), one of the local dealership actually had a sale that offered you a free ATV on purchase of a Ram...: https://www.facebook.com/CarGuys/wall
  19. That's actually true. A GT500 R or whatever, a stripped model, would be awesome.
  20. http://jalopnik.com/the-camaro-z-28-is-back-461112191 Guess they needed somewhere to stuff LS7 meanwhile the new Z06 reach the market. Seems a nice car (ugly tail lights) but dang they needed to remove all of that to be competitive?
