  1. 1) After all these years of NA production, there is still no Titanium interior for the passenger van. The rear seats are a joke ! 2) I understand the streets in EU are narrow, but not here in the USA ! The dually rears should have the outer set of tires and fender flares outside of the body like F-series SuperDuty. Yes, the sliding door would have to be modified or maybe make this only available with the swing door. 3) Upgrade the rear brakes !
  2. The other day while driving, I noticed a tall T350 passenger van. What was unusual was that the tire stuck out a good 4"+ OUTSIDE the body. They were covered by plastic fender flares. Factory or aftermarket ?
  3. I am buying a second set of (used) OEM wheels for the winter tire for my 2016 Edge. I need to buy Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors, so I have a couple of questions What model year did Ford go to the "no tool required" method to retrain the sensors to the vehicle ? (Enter learn mode and reduce tire pressure.) My understanding is that his is software in the receiver so aftermarket (Schrader) sensor should work, correct ?
  4. Z-Plan I order a 2022 F150 back in November. The salesman said there were "no holds" and that it should be built in "mid-January". Should I have received anything more that the attached ?

  6. I have been waiting for the A/Z plan pricing to come online before ordering my 2022 F150. I can't wait much longer !
  7. This is not a new or Ford unique problem. I fist ran into it on Pontiacs in the late 1970s !
  8. The 7.3L was designed for durability, fuel economy (over the V10) and low manufacturing cost.
  9. In recent years, Roush has concentrated on LP conversions.
  10. Regarding ANY extended warranty, read carefully what is NOT covered ! Ask questions, like an oil line breaks and the engine explodes is it still covered ?
  11. Buy the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty.
  12. You can get 8 in an Expedition but 4 of them need to be under 12.
  13. People who would buy it want it to tow large trailers long distances.
  14. I can't wait until he takes a "deep dive" into how product software is developed at Ford !
  15. 2 issues How was H2 created ? Storing it requires refrigeration.
  16. Never going to happen ! Part of the reason the original got canceled was Bill Ford got a lot of personal bad press from the Sierra Club and other "green" organizations for building such a gas guzzling monster.
  17. Properly engineered iron blocks today are much lighter than they were 30+ years ago. Some of the cast iron exhaust manifolds look like "shorty" tube headers !
  18. Sounds about right ! I still think it is odd that the E-Series has a de-tuned version. 6.8L would be a great base engine for a F250 and a low cost replacement for the Coyote in the F150.
  19. Not sure how accurate this is, but the last I heard Ford does not own ANY casting facilities in the US, Canada, Mexico, South America or Western Europe.
  20. My point in saying they need a wider, heavier duty rear axle, like from an F350 !
  21. The T450 based motorhome would be shorter and lighter but bigger than what is available on the current T350 chassis. Admittedly this is a niche. I still believe that a T350 dually with a wider rear axle (placing the second tire OUTSIDE the body like pickup trucks) is a good idea, but not likely to happen because of sheet metal changes. They really need to upgrade the rear brakes and rotors on the T350 !
  22. The NA 3.7L always got good reviews in Mustangs, especially when equipped with a manual. It worked reasonably well in a base F150. The 6.8L would be great in a T450 (T350 CC/CA with a beefed up frame and rear axle if they ever build it). Maybe even replace the detuned 7.3L in the E350. I am out of the loop on emission standards, but that is why some engines have both PFI and DI (they run on PFI most of the time). This is a very $$$ solution !
