silvrsvt
Most people wouldn't, but plenty of people buy brand new trucks and modify them with off-road suspensions right away. May as well take out that step for the consumer and give them what they want right up front. Oh so they are poseurs then :P
NickF1011
Oh so they are poseurs then :P A lot of them are. But hey, if those poseurs are willing to shell out money for an F-150 Raptor, who is Ford to judge them?

WaylonJennings
Yeah, it just looks like a custom 08.. but maybe thats what they're going for so people don't mess with them on the streets.
LincolnFan
Its not a long (suspension) travel truck for nothing now! Form follows function in this case Big fender flares=more room for big tires/suspension travel Yeah, but it could have been executed a bit better than this, no? suv_guy_19
Yeah, but it could have been executed a bit better than this, no? And it will be...because this is a mule.

suv_guy_19
Put your money where your mouth is, where's your proof? Well, the 08 sheet metal kinda gave that away.
TomServo92
Put your money where your mouth is, where's your proof? Since it wears '08 sheetmetal there's only two options: 1) It's just some guys truck and the article is wrong or 2) It's a test mule. It's not uncommon for test mules to wear old sheetmetal. Blueblood
Because those pictures were taken on Oakwood Blvd? It's not like the Ford Proving Grounds are on the other side of those walls or anything. Are they? Looks like any of F-150 with fiberglass flares, guess it could be a Ford mule but you can't see anything that gives it away. I sure would like one of these.. I'd say the BIG RED BUTTON on the dash gives away the fact that it's a test mule! I don't know too many guy who put kill switches on their modded trucks.. Arn Hayids
If you zoom in on the picture of the front of the truck you can definitely see the standard test mule big red button. Also, I live and work in that area and I can tell you with 100% certainty that the Ford Proving Grounds are beyond that wall. The product development center is also a half mile down the road. If you want further proof, go into Google Maps, type in Oakwood Blvd at Village Road, Dearborn, Mi, and go to the streetview just down Oakwood to the right on the map and look to the northwest. CurtisH
And you can see the BIG RED BUTTON where exactly?? If you look at the third picture, you can see "something" on the dash that is red. That is probably what he was referring to.

Yeah, thats where it is, and if you see any of the other old 2009 F-150 pictures, you can see that same red button in the same spot.
