Possible concession hitting Locals this week

A source I have has stated sometime this week Local Presidents and Unit Chairman will be getting the concession packages from International. Again this is only from one source but a pretty high ranking source and is not a prediction like our friend CSMJ.

 

I will seek further information but here is a run down and no official language as to what will be asked of rank and file.

 

JSP- language changes, not a total elimination but very strict guidelines.

ETAP- gone

Nickel Funds -gone= whats used for things such as sending employee's to black lake

Dependant tuition assistance program- gone

Attendance Policy changes- attendance policy made even stricter than what was in the 2007 contract

 

Again all this from only one source but a pretty reliable one, he also stated that workers from DTP-body/ Stamping Employee's will be voting on this as early as this coming weeks unit meeting on Saturday.

You may want to get a new source. I heard all of this while everyone was at sub council last week,Tue thru Thurs.

I received an email from our Building Chairman.

He stated ETAP and The Dependent Scholarship Program is suspended.

Just my luck. I'm enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and classes start Jan.15th. Just need 40 hours to obtain my Bachelor Of Science in Aviation Maintenance.

I thought Ford wanted to get rid of people. How can you leave without something descent to go to.

I feel that this is counter-productive, but hey this is Ford Motor Company

I did not get the invite to be part of any sub council meetings, so i get second,third hand information myself, nor does the majority of rank and file get invited to sub council so we are kind of outa the loop.

Just my luck. I'm enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and classes start Jan.15th. Just need 40 hours to obtain my Bachelor Of Science in Aviation Maintenance.

I thought Ford wanted to get rid of people. How can you leave without something descent to go to.

I feel that this is counter-productive, but hey this is Ford Motor Company

 

 

You may want to check with your rep as your first quarter/semester may still be paid.

All of which I said would happen weeks ago! JSP will have a 15 yr rule on it.

I stated before ETAP has to go and that all of the MEDICAL/ Restriction GAMES were coming to an end!

I think it's pretty simple, if you don't have 15 years with the company, you can't enter JSP.

 

Guess that means that there is no more JSP! Look at the seniority in it right now, 95% under 15 years. We at Rawsonville have been put there due to outsourcing of our jobs! Anyone with less than 15 years will lose their jobs if this is true. The big 3 will eliminate everyone with low seniority if we let this come to pass. Outsourcing will be increased and the UAW won't have a leg to stand on to fight this!

Did the Republican Senators insist on this "proposed" attendance policy change as part of the loan requirements? I doubt it and I find it odd that a change is wanted and how this will help the company increase market share to become profitable again.

 

It's a quick way of getting rid of low seniority. Not to mention that once your unemployment and SUB run out you can get your job back, at a pay cut of course.

Read in our paper saturday that Honda of America is stopping production for the next several months. They will however be keeping all employees on the payroll. Toyota has more people in their "jobs bank" than the big 3 combined. What gives? Why are we giving up our jsp? Gettelfinger is throwing us under the bus.

I think everyone needs to wait and see what the "strict restrictions" will be. No one has said anything about a "15 yr. rule" except CSMJ and we all know how his predictions turn out.

He is bringing up the old GIS program which was for people with 15 or more years. I think they eliminated that in this contract. The JSP language has no mention of a 15 year rule.

Even if people run out of UI and SUB,they will still have recall rights for years of service.

 

Remember that people are fully vested at 10 yrs. I'd say the cutoff might start there instead of 15 yrs.

I agree with you,why not get rid of the legal aid instead.

as i recall g.i.s. started with 10 years of senority. i could be wrong though
