PREMiERdrum
Fiat plans to introduce a European version of the Chrysler 200. But the model will be sold by Lancia, with the Fiat logo on the front grille. It looks like Fiat is not sticking to their initial plans, saying they will sell the Chrysler models under the name of Lancia. Unofficial sources say that the New Chrysler 200C will be sold on the Old Continent under the Fiat logo and not Lancia, as was anticipated. The reason is relatively simple, but a fair one: the American brand is not able to match the quality and luxury level of Lancia, a brand seen by many as a premium competitor. Sebring’s successor in US would make its debut on the European market replacing Croma, from which will borrow some design elements. The Fiat sedan will be different from its North American brother because of the aesthetic changes of the front, which could include new headlights, and revised front grille and the Fiat logo. 156n3rd
One of the most important model segemnts and Chrysler wants to sell this turd in Europe as well as the US as the 200. The whole design is an ugly lump of jumbled currves. There is now way to describe it. There is no harmonic or ergonomic flow to this thing. It is a mash-up of unmatched and unsuited design elements that leave you feeling sad if not sick. These models by Chrysler have been ugly lumps since the first day of the original cloud names.Call it the Breeze to recall the days of cheap shit and crap quality. RichardJensen
Said of Lancia: a brand seen by many as a premium competitor Within, probably, about a 20 mile radius of that cool Fiat factory with a track on the roof, and that's about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lingotto Edited December 29, 2010 by RichardJensen
ANTAUS
I'm loving some of Chryslers current decisions. We have this flop crossing the pond. And a Fiat coming over. The Journey being sent over, A fiat grille here and there. A refreshed 300 which they call a redesign, yet it's more of the same. A Sebring refresh with a new name 200. And what, some Cuda coming back? if anything, I think they are just throwing everything at the wall just to see what sticks.
