FiredMotorCompany
To be fair, that wasn't a US-bound/sourced flight, and had the passports been checked against the global database (as I believe all international flights departing/arriving from the US are required to now) they would have been discovered then. Granted. However, passports are not reliable identification, as it appears.
NickF1011
Granted. However, passports are not reliable identification, as it appears. I don't think there's any system that would be entirely foolproof. Even something using DNA markers could theoretically confuse a "good" person with his "evil" identical twin. As it stands now though, the weakest link in reliable identification is the lack of full global implementation of existing systems. Some of that is economic. Some of that is political. Langston Hughes
The point was to not paint with such a wide brush all Muslims, and I haven't, all Tea Party, as you have, all gun rights advocates, as you have, or all gun related deaths, as you typically do. And just "HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN STOPPED WITH THE TSA SCREENING SYSTEM WE HAVE?" Shoe Bomber and Underwear Bomber made it through and attempted their crimes. And the recent flight had passengers using fake passports. Just how effective is all that inconvenience and hassle? LOL. You use a broad brush as much as anyone. Neither of us are immune to it so relax. As for being effective thats neither here nor there. It happened and is no different than what gun control people had in mind. Langston Hughes
The liberal lives in a world where permission to do anything is granted by higher authority. He simply can't grasp the idea of liberty, freedom, or earned success. In his world everything is given or taken, never really owned. In his world we should all consider ourselves to be lucky to be allowed to own a gun, fly on an airplane, keep a few of the dollars we earn, or be able to live in a modest home. These are all privileges granted by a stern but compassionate government that knows what is best for each of us. He takes great joy when his master beats down any that would seek to advance or step out of line. He may never be outstanding, but he is happy in the knowledge that his master will never allow those who are more capable to surpass his own modest achievements. Since he has no rights, his focus is to make sure that others are equally chained. Imma let ya finish but Trim did that speech about Christianity much better. WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Wednesday strengthened a federal law that bars anyone convicted of domestic violence from possessing a gun. In a 9-0 decision, the high court said the ban extended to anyone who had pleaded guilty to at least a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence, even in cases in which there was no proof of violent acts or physical injury. The ruling overturns decisions in several regions, including the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in California, which had said the ban applied only to convictions that involved a "violent use of force." You are the one who has come to this forum and openly accused "all" conservatives / republicans or anyone who votes for them of a variety of things to include being racists, bigots, homophobic, women haters and on and on. You even make that hate a part of your signature. You made no distinction or declared that only some are one way and others are another way and so on. You lumped the whole group into one class and proceeded to give voice to your hate filled rhetoric about them. So you will not play the "but but but" card now. Goingbroke is right, you are just an offensive person who should be ignored by the entire world and left to wallow in your own hate filled offensive points of view. Does anyone here not think that if this guy Yee had been a Republican Senator that LH would not be only too happy to point out to us all how once again the Republicans are all a bunch of corrupt and evil people who should be shunned and hated by all? Of course he would. But since Yee is liberal he comes to the man's defense or at the very least starts trying to play the "don't judge the many by the actions of a few" card when that is exactly what he does on a daily basis. And by the way, you used the word "your" improperly, again. Edited March 28, 2014 by BlackHorse

Of course, and if any of us dare to defend some of the things that the so called Tea Party does or supports we are sure to be branded racists by LH. It is racist I guess to suggest that the government needs to quit spending more money than it takes in, a core principle of the tea party. Mr. Yee can be a new statistic...... In a recent survey commissioned by a leading soap and toiletries firm, Democrats have proven to be the most likely to have had sex in the shower. The results revealed that 86% of Obama supporters said that they have had sex in the shower. The remaining 14% said they haven't been to prison yet. Mr. Yee wasn't acting out of some sorted view on government control of firearms as Fired suggested but solely because he is corrupt and wanted to get paid lot's of money. There is no "gun control conspiracy" just a man who did something highly illegal for money. Edited March 29, 2014 by Langston Hughes

I realize that you are playing to the white grievance machine crowd, but I been clear that the Tea Party has an issue with attracting bigots, not that they all are. Given the past 5 years of emails, statements, signs and other assorted means by which the vocal racist minority within the Tea Party has come to light there is really no way you can deny that there is a problem. Mr. Yee, for all his being an asshole, and doing wrong is an isolated incident as I haven't found many other democrats that are helping the Asian mafia smuggle guns.
