FordBuyer
Can't believe Tundra won full size truck. It was best truck for the money, not best truck. Maybe Toyota undercuts F-150 in price and has more attractive incentives plus a better resale value. Not sure what all the criteria used was. Chrysle didn't win even one award, and many consider new Ram 1500 best 1/2 ton out there with its 8 speed auto. So I imagine many will have issues with list no matter where your blind loyalties lie. Just be happy Ford was overall victor. Great showing.
BORG
I thought Ford's were too expensive? Ah shucks!
goinbroke2
Hey, Ford won overall...oh wait...TUNDRA is best bang for the bucks for trucks??? REALLY? Never mind, the list has lost all it's credibility. The smirk of low price and rebates will be long gone and all that will be left is the dissapointment of continued payments on a truck that is useless as a truck. (maybe they were thinking "urban truck")??
bobbyd
Here are some statistics...Toyota Tundra January 2013 Total sales (7004 units)...compared to Ford F150 Total sales (46400 units). Looks like the annoying Toyota's advertisement pulling the Space Shuttle DOESN'T CARRY MUCH WEIGHT with truck buyers!

RichardJensen
What I love about that Tundra towing the Shuttle thing: That means that *any* full size truck could've towed the Shuttle.
NLPRacing
If you we're in the market for a 1/2 ton pickup, shopped around based on paper specs & price only, the Tundra wins. Apparently, truck buyers are smart enough to not only use those specs for buying trucks. If only mid size sedan buyers were that smart... The lower prices in the Japanese vehicles (Tundra etc..) comes with compliments to the Japanese government and their manipulation of their yen. One reason Ford is asking the Obama administration to take issue with these foreign owned and government subsidized characters!

It tows more, 2 engines make more power (EB & 6.2L), more payload, more innovative options like tailgate step, and currently most important... better MPG. For as much crap as the Tundra takes it is a better truck than the current GM crop, and on par with the pre2013 Ram. The problem is that the '09 Ford just pushed so far forward as to what is expected in trucks.

Exactly and while critics of the f150 try to hose it off as merely an update are laughable, the comprehensive acceptance of the V6 Ecoboost is a telling milestone in how buyers now view trucks and engines..
