bzcat
Ford is pretty close to releasing the model in China. So far, it looks like it will stay close to the concept shown earlier this year. It will replace Focus Classic (Mk2) in China. Focus Classic may in turn be relegated to the new low cost Jia Yue brand. source: http://www.autohome.com.cn/news/201310/644247.html Edited November 5, 2013 by bzcat

92LX302
Looks classy. I think the color does it a lot, too.

silvrsvt
Mini-Fusion....well not as svelte as the Fusion either
Torrey61
I think the proportions on the front end could've been played with a bit. That along with the greenhouse makes it a bit awkward too me. I agree with silvrsvt, it's a mini-fusion lacking some serious panache.

Bored of Pisteon
I'm sure some of them will end up in this country somehow and someway... Probably out on the west coast for sure. Maybe Ford is testing the waters for a revival of the "Escort" nameplate... Every other "F" named car has been used up.

I don't see them showing up for sale here, they wouldn't do well in crash tests that is now required. Mexico and India are much more likely. Mexico and India are much more likely. I'm sure it will do fine with crash test. This is after all just a Focus with lower content level. Ford probably will not sell it in the North America or Western Europe but I fully expect the Escort to be sold in South America, Eastern Europe, and most developing markets. Ford will probably build the car in China initially but Thailand, India, Russia, Turkey, South Africa, and Brazil will probably all get to build the car sooner or later for their respective local market(s). It plugs a big hole in Ford's product portfolio between Fiesta and Focus.

Maybe Ford is testing the waters for a revival of the "Escort" nameplate... Every other "F" named car has been used up. I hope not. The "Escort" badge doesn't exactly have a sterling reputation. I drove three different escorts back in the day, and woo-boy those cars were garbage.
