'17 Continental Coupe

Recommended Posts

That is a nice looking chop into a coupe. It very Mark VII looking in a way. Ain't gonna ever happen though.

As far as the comments about another Thunderbird, I just don't see it ever coming back. The market for two seat roadsters and large coupes has dried up. The large sedan market is drying up too. The only place the Thunderbird ever made the most sense was a four seat coupe and convertible but the Mustang has that covered now. Fact is the Mustang took sales from the Tbird back when it first came out and they had to push the Thunderbird upmarket into a large personal luxury car for it to survive.

Ummm, have to disagree you with you there.

T-Bird was a personal luxury coupe since it's inception.

First a 2 seater, then a 4 seater in 58.

It was upmarket from the Mustang when the Mustang was introduced.

Ford wanted something sportier than the Falcon and cheaper than a T-Bird.

65 Mustang base price was around $2400, T-Bird was about $4000.

Ford sold Mustangs and T-Birds side by side for over 30 years.

1966 was the last year of the T-Bird convertibles.

Not counting the 2002-2005's.
