Looks like VW should do some more collaborations with Xpeng. ID.Unyx 09 certainly looks more distinctive than the anonymous blob ID.7:

If there's anything that Ford has a good handle on, it's how to properly market pickup trucks.

It makes zero sense to have the Ranger, the CE1 EV (which will apparently be tweener between the Ranger and Maverick), whatever this ICE/Hybrid truck is and the Maverick all competing for the same buyer. Not to mention having a bespoke platform that is apparently only going to be sold in the NA market vs the Ranger, which is world wide. I sure hope Ford has a good handle on how to properly market all of them. -
No, Ford itself said affordable. I understand that. my point was, I don't see it making sense to just throw a Bronco truck at TTP, as why wouldn't you consolidate Bronco-related things at MAP since they'd share a lot of components.......Hence why I threw the F-100 idea out there.

Yes, this looks better. I like the profile and what we can see of the back, but the front is odd.

I still think it will be a cheaper to build and sell Ranger replacement. Maybe eventually Maverick as well.

And they can drop prices a little to get more sales if the capacity is available.

Whether or not Ford listens to its dealers is another matter. -

They could add a Lincoln variant and possibly a pickup like the Gladiator. Not sure how much the worldwide market would accept the Bronco either, but that could be another possibility. -

Given the comments here and seeing other things-its interesting that there is a decent subset of people who never owned a F-150 bought a Lightning because it was n EV. Furthermore that success didn't translate well to Cybertruck (well that has its own issues) or GM's electric trucks, which indicates to me that the the typical truck buyer didn't want to deal with the "shortcomings" that an EV pickup can have. Just as an example-if your towing something heavy with the Lightning, you'll have a significantly shortened range to the point that the truck is almost unusable in some circumstances, like towing a large boat over 50 miles. That indicates that a large EV Truck isn't ready for primetime, unless in a very specific usecase. A smaller EV pickup, like the CE1 would blur the lines since the expectations wouldn't be as high (towing/hauling) and it would be used more as a personal transport vehicle (which the EV Lightning is fine for also) then something that would be expected to do "real" work like an F-150 would be expected to be doing-it would be able handle getting mulch or a new fridge from Home Depot easily, which might be a little hard to do with the Maverick.
