  1. Yea the 2018's are bad to the bone. Mine ran 11.92/118 without the performance pack, 100% bone stock on P Zero tires. And that was when I weighed 340# too!
  2. For $40K, they are taking a stripped down F150 RCSB 5.0 and slapping a Supercharger on it. Outside of power, it has none of the appeal of a Real Lighting. No special looks, interior, handling, etc. Not even close to the same thing.
  3. A real Lightning would retain more value, and be a better engineered truck.
  4. Not buying a dealer built truck. Otherwise I'd build my own. I'm waiting for Ford to build another in house.
  5. This Lightning was mine. I'd buy a real Ford built Lightning today if they built a new one!
  6. My fords that I've owned (and driven regularly over the years are as follows. 2 1968 Thunderbirds 2 1970 Thunderbirds 1971 Lincoln MKIII 1975 Pinto pickup, pro built custom. 1987 Escort wagon, loaded with moonroof and stick. 1989 F Superduty 1994 F Superduty 1999 E150 Club wagon (current) 2000 F150 Lightning 2000 F450 2003 F450 2005 F450 2009 F550 2009 Fusion (Wife's car) 2011 F550 2013 F150 2013 Escape (wife's car) 2013 F650 2018 Mustang GT (current)
  7. The quickest bone stock new 2018 up truck I'm aware of is a 5.0 RCSB, at 13.37. Show me a quicker stock ecoboos t truck and I will believe you.
  8. Hopefully it's NOT the stupid V6 Ecoboost that was slower than the 5.0's in 2014. They were really nice in content, but I couldn't see spending $12K more for a slower truck. That $12K would buy a Blower, wheels & tires, and a few extra goodies for the 5.0 and make it a real performance truck. Still waiting for a gen 3 lightning from Ford .
  9. The quickest new F150 factory offered is the Regular cab 5.0. Adding boost turns them into monsters, that an Ecoboost could only dream of!
  10. This is a box less than 1 cubic foot. $50 ground for a small 2 pound package is highway robbery!
  11. I assume you ordered the stage 2 then? On my 18, I am considering Whipple, Edelbrock, and Procharger. Procharger seems more streetable.
  12. My wife bought a Palisade in July, some dealers were wanting $8,000 Markup on them. We got $1,000 off MSRP even though very few dealers had any, or more than 2. We paid $39K for it. After 6 months, we are very happy with it. Ford has better engine options, but the Hyundai is a great quality vehicle at a very reasonable price. Roomiest 3rd row in the segment. We got used to the nose pretty quickly.
  13. 20's handle a lot better on the street, but give up a bit of ride. 18's give better fuel economy, but 20's look better. I was very happy after swapping my 18's for 20's. (also lowered it 2/4)
  14. I switched to gas for my tow trucks back in 06. Too many diesel issues back then, and since they got better but repair costs skyrocketed on the diesels. I would never buy one again. I even bought my F650 with a V10. If I buy a new motor home it would have to be gas.
  15. I found most Ford parts websites to be extremely over priced on shipping. I ordered some hood louvers for my 18 Mustang GT, and some parts sites wanted almost $50 to ship by ground! Keep in mind the package weight was 2 or 3 pounds. Should've been $15 tops. Cheapest one I found was $20 shipping. For $20, I can ship a 6 pound package anywhere in the US by Priority. They offer low prices, and make it up on shipping.
  16. Big HP compared to your 09 too. More power, more cooling.
  17. Sadly the F350 & F450 duallys both use the same frame. If this was built on a F450/F550 cab/Chassis this wouldn't have happened.
  18. The US Ford website still has the majority of 19's too.
  19. 430HP/475TQ is more than 375HP/470TQ in the 3.5E. The cab & chassis (14K GVW and up) are rated at a lower RPM. The 3.5EB would be even worse in the HD trucks, not better.
