I agree. This one of the best cheap EV designs I’ve seen. I really like this.
-
I’m not sure Jag got the message that going all in on EVs could be a perilous choice.

Then perhaps they should figure out a real solution, because it’s annoying as hell and sounds like your engine is going south. I had an F150 that my son drove that had it and it was a major irrigation for me. It also makes people ask what’s wrong with your truck. I took it to a dealer and they said the motor needed replaced, but we continued to drive it for several thousand miles without it blowing up. So was it a shady dealer or is it normal? What the tick does not do is instill confidence in your vehicle.

I can understand that complaining about things made in China may make me look like a hypocrite as I type this on my Chinese made iPhone, however I’m also a realist and understand that buying all American made products is unrealistic. With that said, there are plenty of American, or at least North American made vehicles, where I don’t have to buy something produced by an enemy of the state, while at the same time trying to support job opportunities for my fellow Americans. It may have virtually no impact on anything, but at least I feel better about it.

my wife has a 22 Explorer and is interested in downsizing. I have seen some of these in person now and they are very nice looking vehicles, and would be a great replacement. However, I will not buy one because it’s made in China. Not because the build quality is inferior or anything like that, but out of principle.

Another anonymous SUV. Nothing offensive, but nothing exciting either.

It’s either they don’t have enough parts to outfit the standard navigators, and enough to sufficiently cover the L models, or another dumb decision by Ford.
-
We have had an Expedition and QX80 in the past, and we are no longer in the market for a full size SUV, but if I were, I would not buy an outgoing model when a new model is coming out. They are too expensive to buy something that looks old the day it rolls off the lot, which also has an impact on resale. I don’t think I’m an unusual customer when it comes to outgoing models, which I think has an impact on inventory. It’s time to start the fire sales to get rid of them. If their sales stay stationary by the end of next year perhaps then you’ll know if the production level was appropriate. If they’re selling everyone that they can make, then not so much.

This was an exercise in trying to be distinctive and different gone wrong. Wow, terrible.

Lincoln Nautilus Named Motor Trend SUV of the Year
tbone replied to RedHoncho01's topic in Lincoln Nautilus / MKX Forum
If they would move the production of the nautilus to North America, I would consider it for our Explorer replacement. -
Sadly, this is not just a problem at Ford. Today’s society does not appear to be interested in accountability for their actions. It’s always somebody else’s fault. So far, I have yet to see what Farley has brought to the table. There may very well be things that he’s done that I’m not aware of, but I just haven’t seen it. In my opinion Mulally was the last great Ford leader. He navigated the company out of its death throes and introduced the concept of one Ford, which did not appear to be adhered to after he left. This is a short article on Mulally that I thought was pretty interesting: https://www.kornferry.com/insights/briefings-magazine/issue-20/alan-mulally-man-who-saved-ford

Perhaps you can provide some insight on your background, which provides you with unique perspective and knowledge. This is a public form where opinions are like…well you know the rest of it. However, the posts made by users here who do you have unique knowledge on a given topic are typically well respected, and their posts carry more weight since they are coming from a position of knowledge. I do not have a connection to the automotive industry, other than being a Ford fan and I enjoy learning about the operation of the company and it’s products. I can provide educated opinions on Ford Raptors/F150s/F250s, Explorer STs, Escapes, Mach E, and Fusions, because I currently own, have owned, or routinely drive them, as well as I have a dealer friend who can provide insight that I could relay. Outside of that, I work somewhere that provides me with unique insight into geopolitical situations, which might be relevant to a given topic from time to time. There was a user on here who regularly stated things as fact, when they’re merely conjecture and opinion, which I’m sure many will know who I’m referring to. It’s helpful when people know a person’s basis of understanding.

Well, if it is true that perceived negative headlines disappear from the consciousness of the public within a couple days, should that not be the case here? Ultimately people will do what they want with their money, and if that means not buying something because of someone’s politics, so be it. Since Musk has gotten more vocal in politics recently, it is interesting that Tesla stock has risen. What is that attributed to, aside from the obvious sales/monetary numbers? Could it be that people like what he’s saying and are trying to support him by buying a product he is associated with, or is the uptick just coincidence. I don’t know, it’s hard to say.
-
I don’t disagree. The argument will be that the competition is doing it so we can do it as well. That was a ridiculous price change for what you’re getting. in my opinion, the vehicle didn’t change significantly enough to justify that jump.
-
it looks like a bronco knock off. With that said, they do look pretty good.
-
You can have any color you want as long as it’s black, lol. It works for me, because I always buy black vehicles anyway. I am liking the green though. Those are some hefty price increases, yikes.

Ford is done with making boring cars
tbone replied to DeluxeStang's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
You would hope so, but sadly that’s not always the case and a lot of organizations. there’s no doubt some of them are auction trucks, but the new Tundras are regularly showing up, and regularly disappearing.
