Sounds like you’re the kind of guy who likes to fix it yourself and you have already purchased the replacement part, but if the car is still under warranty, I’d take it to the dealer and avoid the hassle.

It's the symbol that indicates the hill assist is deactivated.

Ford Gets Earning Boost, Might Drop Taurus/C-Max
transitman replied to ANTAUS's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I thought dropping the C-Max was a done deal with 2018 being the final MY. Then in 2020 (late 2019) the new EV's will debut, is that still the case? -
Monsoon season. Enjoy you're Edge, it's a great vehicle.

Confused area man believes German cars built in America are not sold in America.

Huh, I had a 2012 Focus and didn't experience any transmission issues and now have a 2017 Fusion with no transmission issues, I guess "all the transmission issues Ford cars have" passed me by.

The best part about a physical leak, they can't say there were no error codes.

akirby, looks like we were typing at the same time

Huh, didn't see the Platinum listed on page 1 under Model/Series/Availability list, but scrolling down it's after the Titanium. I forgot the Energi gets its own Order Guide.
-
No Platinum, I guess it was a little too much luxury for the segment. At the price, why not upgrade to a Lincoln. Just noticed, no more Energi, stay tuned for the new and improved PHEV late 2018/early 2019.

Maybe one of the doors has sagged and the hinges need to be realigned and tightened, just a guess.

When I purchased my Fusion last year, I intended to get a ESP from Flood after the sale. When I was signing the paperwork the finance guy asked me if I was interested, told him about Flood, he looked it up and sold me an ESP at the dealerships cost, which was $15 over the Flood price, so I was able to roll the cost into my financing instead of paying out of pocket.

I'm a little late to the dance and haven't read all the replies, but my response is: how much potential power do you feel you need? The 2.0 goes pretty good and unless you're 18 and you and you're buddies like to drag, for 90% of the time, you're going to drive it like a family sedan. Other than a couple of features available only on the Sport, they're essentially the same car.
-
Still, the chance of me being targeted is slim, I'm not going to let it ruin my day and will update if needed.
-
What's the chance of this happening? Probably most likely in CA or east coast than middle America. News programs like to make this seem like a wide spread problem, when the truth is, yes, the technology, is out there, but it's most likely not happening very often. I'll sleep good tonight.

Nice, I sure hope you like it, it's a little late if you don't. Is that Apple Valley Ford/Lincoln in the background?

2013 Edge Daytime Running Lights and Headlights
transitman replied to Cheryl Stevens Landers's topic in Edge Forum
Why did you settle for aftermarket headlights, you should have insisted on genuine Ford replacement parts. Do you have to reset the DRL's in the left side information screen and have the headlight switch set to auto? -
Looks like that question has been answered.

That's what they want you to believe. I'm keeping my eye on him. He probably comes into the filming like this. What's this for, reverse mortgage, I'll show you how it's done:
-
Totally unrelated, but another commercial that bugs me is the AIG reverse mortgage with Tom Selleck. Here's a multi millionaire, in a 3 million dollar New York loft, hawking a reverse mortgage to retired people unable to buy their medicine or groceries. If the spokesperson is going to claim it's a good deal, that person should at least appear like they would need and use the product. I know, I know, image is everything, but come on, it's directed to older folks who can be vulnerable and sometimes make decisions without fully knowing the details, a persons life savings aren't paper towels.

Imagine that, deceptive advertising to sell a product, well I never...

Focus Electric Boosts Range by 51
transitman replied to ANTAUS's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Rumor was he was considering the current and past CEO's of Exxon Mobil for a cabinet post. I'm pretty sure we can guess what their energy priorities would be. There isn't a single person in his rouges gallery of appointments who believe in climate change or alternative energy sources. No doubt when the Federal tax break expires it will not be renewed, making EV's financially out of reach of average consumers.
