  1. I read somewhere that it is inappropriate for corporations to incorporate the U.S. flag into their logos, and is why there are no stars on the flag in that logo. Thus the photo you included would be inappropriate. I always loved the waving flag/oval decals and had them on a couple of trucks and tool boxes back in the late 80s early 90's when they were printing them. I'd love to see them back in the Ford Performance catalog.
  2. Looks great! They ought to do an Expedition version of it this time too.
  3. I kind of like it, and always thought the F1 and Expo should share as much as possible.
  4. The CHP bought all PIUs to replace their Panthers and every LEO I've talked to raves about their Explorer, or wishes they had one. Only one municipality I've seen here in the South Bay Area is buying non-Fords. I tell them I feel sorry that they're driving chevy sedans, and they have all agreed. The PUI is now sort of a status symbol in the LEO community, especially the EB.
  5. I'm seeing more and more Fords driving around this import snobbish area here in the Silicon Valley, especially Edges and Explorers. It has been very noticeable the last few months. I'm seeing tons of new Mustangs, and it's kind of cool see all the new F150s with Browning Buckmark stickers too, in the land of Priuses and Leafs. P.S. If you're a LEO and not driving a Ford PIU you are wishing you were. All the LEOs I've talked to LOVE them, and either have, want or are counting the days till they get one. The CHP will probably be ALL PUI by the end of the year, you hardly see any Panthers anymore.
  6. If that is like Hellion turbo kits I've seen on some cars, the turbos are way in back near the rear bumper. Went and found the Twin Turbo Coyote in a Cobra Jet: http://wot.motortrend.com/ford-mustang-cobra-jet-concept-gets-twin-turbo-50l-v8-debuts-at-sema-show-282171.html
  7. Somewhere there are pics of a Ford prototype 5.0L twin turbo in a 2014 Cobra Jet, that was thought to be the precursor to either the new Cobra Jet or GT500. Looked pretty cool with a one piece CF molded manifold from the twin intercoolers to the throttle body. I would think that with Shelby able to do 1000 RWHP out of a supercharged 5.4L that beating the Fiat Hell-kitty should be easy as pie. It will be very interesting to see what the aftermarket guys do with the 5.2L Voodoo and forced induction too.
  8. They have $2550 off on the biggest (SuperCab or SuperCrew) XLTs with the smallest engine (2.7L Ecoboost) or just $500 on any F150, and another $1000 for any XLT, plus $300 for taking the 2.7L EB, and another $750 if you finance through Ford Credit. The fine print is below: $500 Customer Cash (PGM #12726) + $1,000 XLT Customer Cash (PGM #12694) + $300 2.7L V6 EcoBoost Customer Cash (PGM #12698) + $750 Ford Credit Bonus Cash (PGM #12728) which requires Ford Credit financing. Not all buyers will qualify for Ford Credit financing. Not available on F-150 Raptor. Residency restrictions apply. For all offers, take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 7/06/15. See dealer for qualifications and complete details.
  9. Can't wait to see a Mustang commercial from down under.
  10. If Bentley wants to play rough, they'll have to find a new name for their sedan maybe? Yes, there are some similar lines or queues, but I can see present model Taurus and other things in there too. There are just so many ways to massage away on a 4-door sedan of similar size.
  11. I really like the look except for the inset grill. If it were pushed out flush, it would be amazing. That being said, the back end and interior are really sweet.
  12. Hoping the new Taurus/PI increases driver room (biggest complaint I've heard from LEOs) and brings the lines and look more in line with the rest of the Ford car stable.
  13. Nice to see combined Jan. 2015 Transit and E-Series would be up from E-Series Jan. 2014 by about 30%, and Transit not far from matching E-Series by itself.
  14. Until they offer a 2 door I will not buy any Focus or Fiesta, even though I'd buy a 2 door RS tomorrow if they were available. The darn B-pillar hits me in the shoulder, and I really don't need room for anyone but my wife and German Shepherd Dog. Who the heck wants a 4 door Hot Hatch anyway?
  15. That thing could have the world's largest Ford grill emblem, man that's gonna be huge!
  16. With the loss of weight from the Aluminum body and the increase in power and torque, the new Raptor should be an absolute beast. Throw a cage in it and race the Baja 1000.
  17. Apparently someone told someone at Mustang6G.com forum, that Ford might consider offering Liquid Blue if they got good feedback so they started a poll at: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15463 So far Yes is leading No almost 10 to 1 at 325 for offering Liquid Blue and 36 against. The people in the Mustang group seem to spy over at mustang6g.com quite a bit, maybe it will work.
  18. I'm assuming you mean Post of the Week as opposed to what came up first when I looked up POTW on the search engine: Publicly Owned Treatment Works, aka: Sewage Treatment Plant. Shelby GT350R Mustang was voted 6th and the Ford Raptor was 7th in the Best of Show voting.
  19. Who's going to buy one of those Galpin Auto Sports GTR1s for like a million bucks when you'll probably be able to get a Ford GT for $150K? Doesn't have 1000+ Horsepower, but the GT looks amazing and should be extremely fast.
  20. Posted that, including a link of 4 or 5 pictures from stangtv.com early Saturday morning. They're from the Roar Before the 24 at Daytona. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/58075-gt350r-makes-debut-at-roar-befor-the-24-in-daytona/
  21. This is up on STANGTV.COM still in a camo paint job sporting a full roll cage, large rear wing and Continental racing tires. http://www.stangtv.com/news/exclusive-gt350r-makes-debut-at-daytona-roar-before-the-24/
  22. Haven't been paying attention, is it taking the place of the 3.7L in the Sport, or is it just an option?
  23. It would have helped to have had lower gears in the diff. too.
  24. Hasn't the Ford Transit been the number one van in Great Britain for about as long as the F-series has been number 1 PU in the US? Heck the guys on Top Gear use them for everything including running fast laps at "The Ring" to making one into a hovercraft.
  25. Hoping the EcoBeast is the long wished for Dual-turbo/intercooled/direct injected Coyote V8 and that it comes in the Raptor and Shelby GT500 Mustang, as well as Cobra Jet Mustang, in 2017 or so.
