  1. You can always convert it to a USB outlet....I did that with the lighter in my 1983 Mustang GLX convertible...nobody smokes in my household anyway.
  2. Just picked my Bronco up, headliner looks just like factory....a little quieter and stereo sounds richer now that the sound isn't bouncing off bare plastic.
  3. It is likely NOT a factory screw up, but the dealer messed up when inputting the order. On my 2022 Bronco Black Diamond, I wanted the insulated headliner and noticed it was missing on the build sheet. The dealer assured me it would be there since it is "standard" on all hard tops, I pointed out that it is a "no charge" option that must be specified. Needless to say, the Bronco showed up and surprise surprise..no insulated headliner.... It will be installed this week on the dealers dime.
  4. I am pleasantly surprised and relieved that the 6.8 actually debuted.
  5. The fob WAS the original keyless entry in that you did not need to use the key to unlock the car, just fumble for the fob....?
  6. Well, I have owned Ford stock for several years now and it sure ain't doing much to enhance its value and a nice perk was the X-Plan price...now with that perk gone, I will re-evaluate my future ownership of the stock.

  9. A four door Mustang could, in reality, be the next gen Thunderbird or Falcon for our friends "down under".
  10. I honestly don't think we will ever see a 6.8L Godzilla V8....I believe that ship has sailed. I hope I am wrong.
  11. The design trend goes back to 1969/70 Ford full size cars, LTD, Galaxie, etc...
  12. The dashboard layout is very Mustang II and Mustang Foxbody that are not double hump designs
  13. I can see Ford migrating F250 down onto the F150 chassis and then Superduty is F350 on up. But, I agree on 6.8, I think it is DOA.
  14. 7.3L / 6sp Auto is the powertrain of choice in Medium Duty, E-Series, and Stripped chassis.
  15. Well, in true FoMoCo fashion, maybe they'll streamline Nautilus by dropping the 2.0 and 2.7 EB and make the 2.3L EB the only engine option.
  16. Ahh, that good ole trusted Twin-I-Beam front suspension is hard to beat.
  17. So, the theory goes that as demand for the 6R140 drops off, Ford can just opt for a ZF built transmission instead of building it themselves.
  18. The 4.6L and 5.4L Triton motors were not a "crash program" to get new V8's to market, they were designed as a replacement for the 5.0L, 5.8L with the 6.8L Triton V10 as a replacement for the 7.4L "big block" V8 so that one design could replace all three engines.
  19. I remember that era well, Joe Garagiola did say it, but a lot of people remember when Lee did his own commercials saying it too.
  20. It was Chrysler that started it in the Mid 70's and Lee Iaccoca rev'ed it up with his famous "Buy a car, get a check!" campaign.
  21. You can thank Chrysler for "inventing" the rebate... https://www.nytimes.com/1981/02/18/business/gm-and-ford-offer-cash-rebates-that-are-largest-ever-for-industry.html
  22. I have always said that market forces and capitalism will dictate the success of a BEV future better than any law that was ram-rodded through to the delight of politicians that spout crap like a "Green New-Deal".
