here’s the sport vs the clay model. They look pretty similar. Even has the line that makes it look like there’s a separate bumper there.

Overall I like it, but I am a bit underwhelmed. IMO it’s too similar to the current ranger (at least from the side view). The interior looks great though. 10.1” screen looks like it will be standard and theirs an available digital instrument cluster. Step on the rear bumper is a nice addition. ford continues to suck at wheel design. Edit: actually it appears that the digital instrument cluster is standard. It’s probably the same as the bronco.

Hoping there’s a non chrome version

The design just doesn’t flow very well. The aggressive face doesn’t go with the bubbly roof line.

Call me crazy, but I kinda like it.

I think I prefer the shape of the raptor fenders compared to the round fenders on the bronco. The width of the fenders looks a little goofy IMO, but that could change when the camo comes off.

What does it take to qualify here? There are several that don’t seem like they should be on this list, including the bronco sport IMO.

id say it’s pretty close to the new focus too (which also resembles the evos) minus the headlights having a slightly different shape and different DRLs. The lower bumper area also looks like it could be similar under the camo.

Kia is throwing a 10.25” screen in the forte for 2022. I believe there are several compact SUVs that also have screens 10+ inches in the US now.

I think this new face and interior would make the NA escape much more attractive and sporty looking.

I’ve liked just about every Ford design I’ve seen from China. Ford should use the Chinese design language for all of its suvs.

The only problem with this is that the rear camera only works in reverse. So if your rear window is fogged up while driving, you won’t be able to see behind you. my windows regularly fog up on my morning commute so the rear defrost is a necessity.

Ford sold 10k Broncos so far. I wonder how many are still sitting up there in the lot waiting for parts? Seems like it’s going to take a long time to fill those ~150k reservations.

I really wish Ford would have changed the name. All I hear is Blues Clues.

So global ranger launches in 8 months. Seems like we should be seeing at least that version here pretty soon then. Are there any international auto shows coming up that we might see it at? I am assuming the difference between the NA and global versions will be similar to the current ranger?

Yeah it does, which is part of the reason I’m waiting until the next gen. I looked at that IP for 5 years in my fusion. I don’t want to buy a new car that’s 8-9 years newer and still using the same thing.

Does the edge still have the same IP as the fusion did back in MY 2013? The one with the 2” screens on each side of the speedo?

Timberline looks really good. Stealth looks good too but the wheels seem too small. Maybe it’s just the angle. the larger screen doesn’t look right IMO. The 12” looks better integrated:
