No nav or sunroof. I could come up with a list of things I would suggest improving, but for the most part they have already been covered (or exagerated) in the press. None of these are major. I also could come up with a list of things I like, and that list is quite long. The Edge does everything I need it to do. Mileage has been reasonable -- on trips at 80mph I am getting between 23-24 mpg. Around town around 19-20 mpg. Yours will likely be a bit lower with AWD. My Edge has been absolutely rock solid in quality. Good fits. No mechanical issues whatsoever. Not a single hint of a squeek or rattle. Good control of wind noise at high speed. And I have 2 other friends with Edge/MKX and both have reported the same results. My friend with the MKX (a rather picky electrical engineer) is very happy with the nav/audio interface. Not to mention that it's one of the few Ford vehicles I have had where people stop to look at it in the parking lot or come up to me and ask me about how I like it. Switching brands is not easy. But I think you and your wife will really enjoy the Edge.
Michael Reynolds
Regardless of price, I don't think you (because your wife won't be) happy over the long run. Those SUVs are flat out dated. I have an Edge as my rental, and everytime I get in one of these things i come away a bit more impressed. Go ahead and shoot for it if you can get a great deal. J-150
I've talked with many people that have Edges (usually in parking lots) Also, my real estate agent has one. Had an in depth talk. Buyers usually come from a mid-size SUV (Explorer, Trailblazer et al) Not abad word among them. Everyone loves the Edge over an SUV. No lack of power. No issues with braking. Great ride. Nice amenities. Very happy owners.

The Edge should be at least as reliable as anything GM makes. I hope it works out great. Welcome to the Forums.

Mark B. Morrow
Easy Now Remember I Am A GM Guy Tell Me About The Stang Convertible Photo It's my '64 1/2 I have had it for 10 years. Bought it from the sister of the original owner. Delivered on 5/15/64 in Alberquerque, NM with PS, PB, P Top, Factory A/C, spinner hub caps. It was originally Red/Red now Midnight Turquoise with a white Pony Interior. Modified 289 with Edelbrock carb and manifold, T-5 GT fog lights and dual exhaust. I have driven it about 35k miles in the past 10 years with trips to Nashville,TN and Springfield, MO. I don't have any problems with GM. I had a '67 Grand Prix Conv and a '69 Olds 442. Loved them both. Edited December 8, 2007 by Mark B. Morrow

Mark B. Morrow
Mark, the trip to Nashville wouldn't have happened to be the 40th anniversary Mustang celebration would it? Yes it was. Our local club the Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club had several members make the trip. We stopped at Lexington, KY overnight and got in to a caravan with a club from Canada. We evwn has a police escort to the Interstate. Eventually, the State Police had to break us up since we had so many cars. It was a great trip and the event was fantastic. Going_Going_Gone
Very nice...if you go here: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?showforum=45 you can ask for an X plan pin to get a slightly lower price. Here is a link to X-Plan pricing...it will take you to the F-150 selection so just enter your zip code and, when the dealer inventory comes up, change the selector on the left side box to 2008 Edge, then look for your choice of options. This will enable you to search dealer inventory and see what the X-Plan pricing is. Another couple of things to keep in mind are: usually Ford offers "friends and family" bonus cash to X-Plan PIN holders in the last weeks of the year and the X-Plan price includes documentation fees (one of the usual places where dealers stick it to buyers). http://www83.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/F...amp;sBrand=ford

Eventually, the State Police had to break us up since we had so many cars. It was a great trip and the event was fantastic. Wow, great story! We made a trip that was less spectacular than yours (from Evansville, IN), however, with 2 of my friends, 3 Mustangs total, it was a great time. It gave me chills as we were rolling in close to Nashville and seeing all of the Mustangs packing the interstate. I have to admit, I've been to several Mustang related events and the 40th anniversary celebration was the best by far.
