Joe771476
There's some toys for sale under the "Transformer" name and most are GM vehicles but there is a Mustang police vehicle also. What gives? I thought GM had the exclusive rights to that franchise.
pcsario
It's a cop car, one of the bad guys, that's why there's a toy for it.

FLLMTR
The Saleen Mustang transformer is called Barracade. Radio Shack sells a remote control version of both the Camaro and the Mustang. Locally, the Mustang outsold the GM car nearly 10:1.
rmc523
I'm guessing you didn't watch the movie..... This may be very random, but Heath Ledger is playing the Joker in the next Batman movie? Interesting. Mark B. Morrow
It is kind of like the old days ('60s-'70s) when Ford provided vehicles for cop shows like Dragnet and The FBI, Hawaii 50 and Ironside, the bad guys almost never drove a Ford product. SVT_MAN
I could be mistaken, but I believe they used a Saleen Mustang for the cop car. I also think that Saleen did the conversion for the Camaro body onto a Pontiac GTO frame / interior. I could be wrong though. I haven't seen the movie, and I am only going based upon my memory - so I am probably wrong.

pcsario
Then we get to see the MKS make it's big screen debut as well. I bumped into Bruce Wayne the other day in the subway, turns out he hates insurance companies. He told me the MKS was all he could afford after having to rebuild his house from scratch. True story. campbell53
I'm one of the larger Saleen dealers in the country (thanks to the magic of the internet!). As an "attaboy" from Saleen, they let my store sell 2 Black Saleen Mustangs to the production company associated with the Transformer movie. Kinda cool I can say that I sold the car seen on screen. ManFord
Perhaps the MKS in the film belongs to District Attorney Harvey Dent played by Aaron Eckhart....
