Kory04
A new excursion would be awesome, and it is also on my wish list!
twintornados
Well, since Super Duty and F-150 share cab structures...wondering what would it take to put an Expedition body onto a SD 3/4 ton chassis? I am sure that it should be "do-able"...just wondering what the take rate would be...how many 3/4 ton chassis Suburbans are sold?

I think a couple guys with a welder could create an Excursion from a SD crew cab in a few hours. But I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze considering production constraints and all the other new projects.
jeffhunta
An Excursion with 7.3L and lots of payload is on my wish list too. Would drop my Super Duty in a heartbeat for that!

Too bad this would cost $200k+! If it was around half, I would go for it.

Part of the reason the original got canceled was Bill Ford got a lot of personal bad press from the Sierra Club and other "green" organizations for building such a gas guzzling monster. But I wonder how many people wanting to tow something that heavy needs seating for 8 or 9 as opposed to the 6 you get with a Superduty and a camper shell? You can get 8 in an Expedition but 4 of them need to be under 12.

I think Ford's market research says that there would not be enough of a "take rate" to make it profitable.
