CBears
I was just on Ford.com building out another F250 and noticed that they have removed almost all of the add ons that used to be on there. Bed liner, covers, console safe, floor mats, even rear window options. There were $3,000 worth of add ons I did when I ordered my truck that are no longer available on the builder. I just found this interesting.
mortadella
I just tried too, they're gone! Power moonroof is gone too! Edited February 8, 2022 by mortadella
gom
Interesting. I wonder if dealers can still configure an order with those items.
mattdm
Its strange that things like upfitter switches are gone, but Fifth wheel prep is still there... I wonder if its a glitch?

PineNut
I'm guessing it's a glitch, maybe they are in the middle of updating the builder. I just tried to build my f350 Lariat 7.3L and couldn't find the 5th wheel prep or LED headlight options.... Havasu Guy
I just checked the Ford.com Build and the Ford Partner X-Plan pricing build sites Both sites are showing only the basic build, they do not include options for 5th Wheel Prep Package, Moonroof Option, Splash Guards, Tonneau Covers, Bedliners, and a host of other options. Not sure if Ford has eliminated these options or if it's just a glitch. Maybe Ice-Capades can clarify?

Sounds like a Ford issue with Super Duty option availability not being set up completely at the Ford.com site. The 5th Wheel Prep Package is restricted to retail factory orders for the rest of the 2022 Model Year but that shouldn't be an issue if you're using the Build & Price feature online at Ford.com. wowens79
Just about all options are gone. I wonder if they are trying to simplify things to build the trucks faster to get caught up. Seems like it would be easier for them to schedule with less options.

Ford's only simplifying Dealer stock orders, starting this week, by reducing the available options and configurations. All options will continue to be available for retail factory orders. Forderorder
Based on the fact that the "Track My Order" button from my e-mail has been broken for a week or so, I'm inclined to believe something like this would be a mistake rather than them intentionally removing options. The Peddler
I just tried to "build" the truck that I ordered on 1/26/22. F250 Crew 4x4, Short Bet Lariat Ultimate, PowerStroke. Monoman
A glitch in the Ford matrix or their projections determined they cannot take any more orders with those options for MY22. Only time will tell.
AntiM F250
Yes time will tell. It makes sense from a projection stand point given the backlog.

nickqw14
Hello! I recently put in an order for an F350 Lariat on 02/03 and also happened to notice a lot of the options I had selected no longer show up on Ford's website. I am a software engineer so I got curious and started snooping around their source code. I don't believe this is a system glitch, I was able to find a large JSON object that contained all of the missing options (along with options still showing). I also happened to find a list of part numbers that contained ONLY missing parts/options. This tells me these options are deliberately being hidden from users. Maybe it's not intentional but it seems odd that this list combines individual parts that can be purchased separately along with options like 5th wheel prep, Adaptive Steering and Moonroof. I could be totally wrong here just throwing in my 2 cents. { "partClasses": [ "A1KAB", // Splash Guards/Mud Flaps – Rear "A3EAB", // Splash Guards/Mud Flaps – Front "A3EAH", // Splash Guards/Mud Flaps - Front "A3QAB", // Hood Deflector – Black Molded "A5DAJ", // Aluminum Crossbed Tool Box by Weather Guard - Matte Black "A5DAK", // Aluminum Crossbed Tool Box by Weather Guard - Bright "A6YAB", // Operator Commanded Regeneration "A7AAC", // Tailgate Step "A9BAD", // Tonneau Pickup Box Cover – Soft Folding "A9BAE", // Tonneau Pickup Box Cover – Hard Folding "A9BAJ", // Tonneau Pickup Box Cover – Retractable "A9SAB", // Bedliner – Drop-in "A9SAG", // Bedliner – Tough Bed® Spray-in "A9VAB", // Bed Mat "A9YAB", // Stowable Loading Ramps "AATAF", // Individual Trailer TPMS/Customer-Placed Trailer Camera "AATAJ", // Individual Trailer TPMS "AATAK", // Customer-Placed Trailer Camera "B3HAE", // Rear Window – Power-Sliding with Privacy Glass "B3NAB", // Rear Window – Defrost with Privacy Glass "B5EAC", // Wheel Well Liner – Front (Only) "B5EAD", // Wheel Well Liners – Rear (Only) "B5EAE", // Wheel Well Liner – Front/Rear "BAYAB", // All-Weather Floor Mats (includes Carpet Floor Mats) "BAYAC", // All-Weather Floor Mats without Carpet Floor Mats "BB7AC", // Power Adjustable Pedals "BBHAB", // Floor Covering – Color-Coordinated Full Carpet with Floor Mats "BBKAJ", // Floor Covering – Carpet Delete "BBKAT", // Floor Covering – Vinyl "BPIAG", // Bed Step – Retractable "BY1AJ", // Power Heated/Ventilated Driver/Passenger Seat with Driver Side Memory "BY3AB", // Heated Rear Seats "BYPAK", // Power Driver's Seat "BYPBC", // Easy Entry/Exit Memory Driver's Seat "C1HAB", // 5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Hitch Prep Package "C2JAB", // Hitch Kit – Gooseneck "C2JAC", // Hitch Kit – Dual Gooseneck "C2KAB", // Hitch Kit – 5th Wheel, 32.5K "C2KAC", // Hitch Kit – 5th Wheel, 19K "C2TAC", // BoxLink "CFFAE", // Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers and Heated Steering Wheel "CHAA1", // Power Moonroof "CL2AB", // 12,000 lb.
