I feel like July is a good example of "you can't sell what you don't have". This month saw something unique to me - first time in 10 years with Ford sales that I didn't have a single new F-150 available to sell. And that lasted a couple weeks. We don't typically stock huge numbers of anything, but having 6-8 F-150's for a little store like ours is pretty normal. Zero? That sucked bad. We were totally gutted from the June Employee Pricing event, and then never got reloaded with inventory. We're still on the struggle bus trying to refill our lot.

But how many of those Escape sales where to fleet customers? The Explorer is seeing a 17% and the Bronco 4.8% sales increase so far this year and I know for a fact that Ford has targeted Escape buyers with Explorer deals. As for the Corsair, I guess Ford will say something by the end of the year if its going to be imported for the time being or not, so I'm not worrying about that this moment. -

The trucks make sense but it doesn’t at Lincoln. Sure the Aviator and Nautilus are not new models but it seems there is no strategy for the Corsair customers, also as I have said, first full year of the new Navigator and it is already down. -

Well, the first excuse was, "we'll transition Escape buyers to Bronco Sport" (didn't happen), then the "we'll transition Corsair buyers to Nautilus" excuse also fell flat, you'dve though when Edge buyers did not transition to Explorer they would have come up with something different. -

Not to mention all the external pressures of the economy that isn't helping sales numbers either. -
That and to Ford’s credit, F Series 68,000 sales achieved with tight inventory (186,000) The only way the active that was with good forward inventory planning and not excess building of trims that subsequently had to be heavily discount….

Hello, my father was a long time retired Ford Talbotville employee, where we were able to access to the AZ plan. He has since passed and I've only been able to access the X plan even though I was resistered and had received 2 pins previously for the AZ plan. I recently ran into a long time retired committee man who said I should have access for the rest of my life. Can anyone confirm that is correct here in Canada. Thank you. -
Minus Escape YTD utilities are almost flat. Minus Corsair Lincoln YTD is flat. Minus F150 trucks are flat YTD and we know why F150 sales are down a little. It's not nearly as bad as you think it is.
