Lower price, more fuel efficient, fits more garages meant for cars. BEVs, they still need to shorten the charging time, and the charging infrastructure (which is not equal from city to city or town to town) still can't match that of the gas stations.

Oh I know you meant 2027....it was just funny. Yeah, Ford loves their year gap between debut and going on sale, so I'd say you're right, we're over a year out at least. I don't think we know anything for sure. Honestly, your placeholder idea is as good as any suggestion thrown out thus far....

An under-performing battery will disable the Auto S/S system. My 2023 Explorer Timberline also had the A/Start-Stop system deleted due to a chip shortage, the window sticker showed a $40 credit due to it's removal. -

I believe the 7.3L PowerStroke has always been throttle by wire, going back to '94. -
Speaking of C-Max, there is another one for your C list.

Ford has had throttle by wire in production for over 20 years. I don’t know if they had it earlier, but throttle by wire was one of the big changes for the ‘03 Lincoln LS. It was a topic of discussion, if not a bone of contention, back in the day.

My BMW R1250GS Adventure has throttle by wire and I like it much better than the cable system on my Goldwing as it is not as hard on the old wrist, and also allows for different throttle mapping depending on if you want spirited riding, just cruising, or rain riding to reduce chances of spinning the wheels and ending up on the pavement.

Sort of name-related, but I was watching a David Freiburger video yesterday, and he showed a ‘61 Comet. Not a Mercury Comet, just a Comet. It was developed for Edsel right before McNamara shuttered the brand, and it was too late to kill it, so they turned it into its own marque for a couple of years. He even showed the manufacturer’s plate on the door showing the Comet marque and pointed out that the C on the badge was just the Edsel “E” without the center bar.

Has anyone heard anything more on truck to be built at Tennessee°? it sounds more like a placeholder while they get something in there.
