Probably not. I'm personally hoping for some sort of escape sized coupe crossover, a sporty sedan, and maybe even a ute. Some of those seem like Ford might be considering, like the affordable RWD EV performance sedan for instance, whereas other ones, like a new ute, probably aren't gonna happen. -
Hey morgan20, good point. Aussie market is different to Europe in that our mid sized pickups lead the market - think mini me of USA Europe still favours a lot more subcompacts where we generally prefer compacts and up. RAV4 particularly hybrid is set to become the most popular vehicle her this year (new model due soon) and Chinese brands like BYD, Great Wall and MG are making serious inroads from the bottom end. we have around 70 brands competing in Australia and we’re like at best a million vehicles pr year.

No but Biker16 did and he's skating on thin ice right now.

There is nothing about the Iran situation that changes the landscape for vehicles in the US.

It will (I believe) but I don't think it will be the ones you want them to make.

But, are they? The decision to cancel several EV models happened prior to the current events unfolding in the Middle East - I would counter that the EV's that were cancelled were prior designs that are outdated and obsolete and that companies such as Ford are still moving ahead with EV's, just in a direction that makes them profitable and lower priced and all this was coming as a result of the discontinuation of the generous subsidies that were paid for EV adoption. I have long contended that the real race for better EV product will come once the tax breaks were ended on EV sales. -

It's my personal hope that CE1 becomes the basis for Ford returning to affordable, fun products, moreso than what they already offer. -

I'm referring to them killing off stuff like the edge and escape. I feel like if they had gotten to the point where they were "boring" instead of killing them off, Ford should have just re-envisioned them in a way that made them more compelling. -
As someone who owned both mazda based and eucd based vehicles the difference was obvious. Mazdas were simple, light and rock solid. C1/CD4s were heavy and overengineered and too complex. C2 fixed a lot but came too late.
