Maybe that was after the run? No clue what their rules are.

only $3500 discount. Equinox is $8700. Ioniq 5 is $10k. I keep telling you guys price is king regarding sales volume.

Yea, exactly. In addition to the lack of proper sales promotion for the model, MME has been decontented for 2026. It loses the frunk, universal garage door opener, NACS adapter, tire inflator and sealant kit, 360-Degree Camera, Front Parking Sensors, Reverse Brake Assist, and MagneRide dampers (GT) as standard features. The Connected Navigation feature is included for 1 year only on 2026 models; the 2025s included 3 years. I purchased an MME GT for my wife in May 2025 when the big shots at Ford were at least semi-serious about promoting and selling that vehicle. MME sales were up 11% that month YoY.

Maybe, but there is a lot of hostility toward hybrids and EVs on the Bronco6G forum. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/bronco-hybrid-confirmed-by-ford-ceo-jim-farley-4-2-26.131139/

My interpretation of what he was saying there was that medium/long-term, Ford Blue would be primarily unique passion products and Ford’s commodity products would be on the UEV platform. That is probably altered now since the EREV factor has been introduced, but generally I feel that makes sense. ICE will over the course of the next two decades be a shrinking segment, while EV will be growing. You would be better off not trying to put a lot of investment into high volume lower-margin products in ICE, but would see better returns doing that in EV. The UEV platform also gives Ford a chance to regain sustainable competitiveness in commodity products that they haven’t really had since the great recession. worth mentioning they currently have a Mustang EV and its not working because it is too much like the Mustang - you can’t win on EVs at Mustang volumes and pricing. Bronco EV is a better idea, but lets see how Jeep’s attempt there does.

The MME is really in the toilet. Equinox EV is only down 7.2%, Ioniq 5 is up. Did Ford just stop trying to sell it?

To be fair, I could see a future where Ford does tie these affordable EVs together with its icons. I'd be a lot more excited about a 30k mustang EV small coupe or hatchback, or a Bronco sport EV, than a 70k s650 EV or a 80k full sized bronco EV. I think there's still a lot of room left to run with expanding these sub brands, and having versions of them that were based on this affordable EV platform would be a pretty neat idea. -

Really? They did a R8C Museum delivery at the National Corvette Museum back on March 16th of a customer car. HRG -

While I'm not a huge fan of long lifecycles, there are a few advantages I can think of. On Ford's end, it's of course more profitable long term of keep the same generation around longer. It also gives people who really like this generation of bronco design more time to buy it before it's replaced. I also believe this approach can lend itself to a better product. It encourages Ford to rely on more timeless, and attractive designs, rather than chasing whatever the latest trend is that will look outdated after a few years. I hope striving for timeless, effortlessly appealing design is a goal Ford sets internally for all of their icons like bronco and mustang. Finally, having longer product cycles hopefully gives engineers and designers more resources to make the next versions even better. -
Wouldn't surprise me, really... they don't let us see the numbers on their side. 😄 And very true, there are zero true Maverick competitors. It's really set the benchmark for what's going to fly in a compact truck today.
