I could see a split rear window making sense on a more expensive EV truck, where there is a mid-gate. Likely easier to move two smaller window sections than the one larger one. If you've watched the rear glass come out of the Silverado EV you can tell its awkward for one person to remove. I cannot imagine this truck having a mid-gate when the top priority is affordability.

Yeah, there's not much to analyze in this particular tease.   Except maybe the mirror housing and maybe door handle blades.

If there's a small child in the back seat (which there shouldn't be if the vehicle is unattended, but...) when this happens, I could see an issue.  But, yeah, recalls are getting a little out of hand.

Only affects an UNOCCUPIED driver's seat?  And that warrants a recall?  This is ridiculous.

They do offer a package with the 2nd row console that has ventilated seats, starting with Reserve.  

Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator Recalled Over Unexpected Seat Recline Issue   Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2026-2027 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator models due to an issue with the driver's seat. The defect: in affected vehicles, an unoccupied driver's seat may recline unintentionally during certain scenarios, such as remote unlock or remote start. The hazards: unexpected movement of the driver’s seat back may trap a second-row occupant, increasing the risk of injury. Affected vehicles: select 2026-2027 Ford Explorer and Aviator SUVs produced from November 24th, 2025, to  June 27th, 2026. Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this condition.   Number of vehicles affected: 79,579 The fix: the remedy is currently under development.

Yeah, I think their point is to show all of the options as part of their custom Garage program, but it definitely jumps to the "why" category.....
