Its not so much the HP, but the torque. From what I can tell, your Corsair is using a HF45 and not the 55 in the Maverick.   Plus the Fusion ST and Taurus SHO put 325/380 and 365/350 respectively though the 6F with a FWD bias AWD system

Well it's a transverse setup and won't handle more than 300 hp.  The 10r80 hybrid doesn't use an E-CVT which is why it's a power adder and not max mpg.

I understand the difference- I'm just saying it's not a big deal for how we usually listen.  If I was driving by myself to/from work every day and cranking it up then it would be a bigger issue.

That is pretty much what Ford did on the Escape PHEV recall. The software update is a ~20% haircut on the battery capacity.

I’ve been driving hybrids since 2014 and love them. I wouldn’t go back to ICE except for my Ranger and hoping Ford comes through in the future for it.    I’m very interested in your real world MPGs on the highway. Keep us posted. I wonder if this same hybrid system might find its way into the Mustang CUV? I can hope but I suspect it wouldn’t be sufficient for the performance pedigree expected for the Mustang family.

I would think that with the different power  and torque of the 2.0 Ecoboost the software would need to be modified,  but I have no idea how it works. If it is plug and play, then that would make it easy for Ford to match up any compatible ICE to the HF55.
