If it's just a story of the first Raptor's "birth", that's kind of anticlimactic and doesn't need a reveal date like that, IMO.....

Didn't realize they were switching but it makes sense to just have 1 version. Might also signal a future switch to an ecoboost engine.

Putting my old developer hat I can't think of anything that would have to change. Obviously the engine has it's own software but I don't think the ECVT has to change. The big change is on the hardware so it can handle the higher torque thus the increase from HF35 to HF45 and HF55.

It's a Nautilus not Corsair and it uses the HF55. Maverick uses the na 2.5 atkinson with a HF45.

Its not so much the HP, but the torque. From what I can tell, your Nautilus is using a HF45 and not the 55 in the Maverick. Plus the Fusion ST and Taurus SHO put 325/380 and 365/350 respectively though the 6F with a FWD bias AWD system -

Well it's a transverse setup and won't handle more than 300 hp. The 10r80 hybrid doesn't use an E-CVT which is why it's a power adder and not max mpg.

I understand the difference- I'm just saying it's not a big deal for how we usually listen. If I was driving by myself to/from work every day and cranking it up then it would be a bigger issue.
