It’s mind boggling how Porsche is not rolling in cash considering the pricing of 911s and Panamera especially the GT3 and turbo models and the GTS and GT4 cayman, boxster, Macan and Cayenne. I know Taycan was a flop and they stopped selling the boxster/cayman last year in Europe but still…Their internal costs must be worse than Ford.
That SUV could be the mav utility. Something about it's proportions also bears resemblance to the Chinese bronco EREV thing imo.
As for the styling direction CE1 is going in, we believe it'll be cab forward, with an aero driven design, apparently so radical that it won't really look like a pickup.
Probably the best idea we have about the look of these affordable EVs so far is in that Ford EV first reaction vid they did with their employees. The truck is too zoomed in to make really anything out, but in the background, you see another EV design under a tarp, probably a sedan/hatchback due to how low it is, maybe a small crossover.
It shows up right after the employees see the truck and they're walking around it, again just a tarped design.
If Fords consistent and applies that a similar form language to this truck, I'll love it. The roofline/front fender looked super sleek imo.
I agree that I think it'll be a bit more radical. I didn't think of the van, though outside of the upright rear, it seems more SUV to me, which is why I guessed that. I may be getting it mixed up with the CE1 SUV, but was the Maverick SUV back on too now?
Could be....definitely not taking any styling risks with it either.
