Might be different in various markets, but in middle WI, I haven't seen very many people cross shopping the Maverick and Ranger. They seem like very different buyer groups here. As to any profits, I'd bet that if the Maverick wasn't turning in volume numbers like it does, it'd be on the chopping block. From the dealership perspective, Maverick has financial numbers like the EcoSport did, but it's a vastly more desireable vehicle. If Ford's numbers look like ours, they're not making big bucks off any individual Maverick, but it's thriving because it's an out-of-the-park home run hit. We are starting to see a lot more Ranger shopping because of three factors: 1. Price point on the F-150 has jumped quite a bit. Package to package, feature to feature, the Ranger is a strong value considering what the F-150 clocks in at. 2. Fuel prices... which is a silly reason, since the Ranger doesn't get dramatically better MPG than an F-150. 3. Overall size. I hear a lot of "it's getting harder and harder to park a big truck", and for those who still need to pull more than a small boat/trailer, the Ranger fits (heh) the ticket.

I like this, but it's a non-street track toy being held up to the AMG and others that are actually (if barely) street legal. That makes it something of a hollow victory, at least to me. However, the rumors that the upgraded (with added canards for downforce) GTD also upped its standing is VERY interesting to me....

EV ain't for everyone, but akirby is right that the biggest hurdle to EV demand has been cost. This is why used EV, which are almost at price parity, sell as fast or faster (lower days supply) than used ICE vehicles, while new EV, which still have a decent price premium, sell at a slower rate (higher days supply) than new ICE vehicles.

Changing the grille to black helps.

I’m curious to see what the atlas cross sport will look like. The current version still looks pretty good in my opinion.

AK........As I was saying....It came up on the the log in to vote my shares..and perhaps it was another "senior" moment, but I'm sure it followed the proxy statement with a Ford "menu". However, as I've previously posted, New England Ford Dealers have run TV spots this winter featuring typical snow plow footage but also a shot featuring a 650/750 dump pulling a tag trailer carrying a loader/backhoe. -
Yea, in the U.S. at least Atlas (7-passenger) + Atlas Cross Sport (5-passenger) was the best selling VW branded vehicle last year. However, since VW of America separates the two Atlas models for sales numbers, officially Tiguan was the best seller at a model level.

You’re right, I misspoke regarding the losses being 40,000, Q1 was 159,901 vs Q1 last year 190,389 (-16%) so the roughly 10,000 lower sales would probably be explained by ongoing issues with aluminum supplies
