I heard rumors it was gonna underpin a proper RWD Continental and possibly a Ford sedan. If they can get enough weight out of it, I'd like to see it underpin the next mustang coupe and sedan. I feel like that would make more sense than doing an all new platform or trying to keep the same old platform going.
Knowing Ford, they'll chop the passenger side off for the US lol.
Though with Nautilus and Navigator now having the full width setup, maybe we'll get lucky this time.
I remember when Lightning was first proposed - there were design drawings suggesting a "bed mounted" range extender....

We never saw the Rivian "Continental", so hard to say if we'll see it inspire anything (still wish we could've seen it).
Regarding the Star, I have to assume that its design will wind up inspiring a new Aviator?
While we never saw T3, we did see some patent images that we assumed sort of previewed it. I feel like we'll see T3 Lightning influences on the next-gen F-150, especially as it keeps getting pushed back. I think it's time for Ford to push the envelope a bit design wise, as the last few gens have been safe.
The 3-rows were apparently universally panned in focus groups, so I doubt we'll see them have an influence on much.
