It Sure Sounds Like the Ram Rumble Bee Is Coming Back With a Supercharged V8 Could this signal the return of extreme street/sport trucks? Very interesting. -

The related International CV series medium is likewise cancelled.... Edited for correction -
Ya, today’s trend seem toward convenience for the person operating the machine. Also, eliminating down time caused by operator errors to help the party paying for the equipment ! Everyone seemed to go full speed ahead on EV’s without thinking about one main reason for having a vehicle, freedom of going anywhere you want, any time you want! Pure EV’s have a very negative affect on the above! The fallback position of Hybrids just may be a pretty good place to be for the next ten to 20 years even on Super Duty trucks. edselford

It looks like they are still partnering with Isuzu for LCFs: -
I get what you’re saying but equally you allude to quality checks and in particular the right ones for early detection. Things like heat treatment require short notice spot checks to make sure valve treatment is actually done and signed off. Quality Assurance, not Quality Control.

True but 6.8 was only offered on XL and XLT (and E Series?) so only affects a smallish number of buyers and probably why the decision is easy as it also frees up more capacity to make more 7.3s The 7.3 capacity convinces me more than ever that Ford made the right choice first up Although, they could have just kept the Lima 429/460 and evolved over the last 30 years…

I think it’s more because switching away from ovals costs money that the areas these ovals host just don’t have in many cases.

Turns out actual stock cars don't hold up too well hitting concrete at 200 mph. But ovals are Nascar's legacy and they can't just switch to 100% road courses like actual stock cars.

Yes, agreed. These parameters seem to be mutually exclusive. I believe Ford has culpability in the quality of the parts coming from suppliers, but want to lay blame solely at the supplier’s feet. Of course there are suppliers that have built parts out of spec that need to be held accountable, but who provides the specifications for the parts to begin with.
