  1. From a recent Autoline Daily video, as per Farley "Ford has essencially locked up all the inventory of rolled sheet alluminium", meaning it would be years until anyone can get in the game! What a coup, way to go Ford! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTa3V_CwOpQ&list=UUoBaFUmLRgc_-d-rkBCFyfQ
  2. From the Lincoln site it mentions Bridge of Weir leather available so it looks like that is the upgrade difference. I still find it odd they haven't released many pics yet, not been a pic of the seats! Or the rear seats even. Same for the Black Label version, so hopefully next week during the LA show they will release more pics and info!
  3. I finally found some pics from the live reveal in NYC... http://www.complex.com/rides/2013/11/2015-lincoln-mkc-first-look I find it odd Lincoln's own press site is very sparse with pics, and none even show the seats or back seat area, ect! I hope next week when the LA show opens they will release more pics and details. For instance, no mention of the Black Label varient which we know will be offered too....so maybe thats reserved for LA?
  4. Looks like the 32/45 MPG #'s are indeed real, its posted on the EPA site now!
  5. Well there's always the glass roof option to replace it with! Speaking of which, I wonder if it will open up now, and if so will it roll back over the rear window like the MKZ's roof does?!
  6. I'd guess this is the same actual concept just repainted. The interior is exactly the same, as the red stitching was there before as well. So this interior theme is one of the Black Labels.....I find it funny this "hint" was under our nose all year and we didn't know it!
  7. My guess is they can't hide it due to the micro suede fabric now used there.
  8. I think since the 1.0EB will be offered only with the 5-speed manual they might be continuing with the 1.6 SFE as well....that's my take on it.
  9. The lastest news on the 1.0 EB is it will be 5-speed manual only....here's the 2014 Fiesta product sheet and it lists it.... http://media.ford.com/images/10031/2014_Fiesta.pdf
  10. I see on the Motorcraft site they posted the owners manual for the 2014 Fiesta....it has some references to the 1.0 Ecoboost engine... http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/SPubs/default.asp?TYPE=OWNERGUIDE&pageid=oghome&gutsid=spubs_serv_all_new&MARKET_LANG=US-EN&YEAR=2014&VEHICLE=Fiesta
  11. And it just so happens to be press days at the 2014 NY Auto Show!!! Expect the unveiling there since the car made its debut at Flushing Meadow Queens NYC at the Worlds Fair back on the same day in 1964.
  12. Well I just logged into the NY media site, the press schedule is posted, and no Ford nor Lincoln press conferences scheduled, so sadly looks like nothing new will be revealed. Darn!!
  13. Unfortunately, I just checked the NY press site and the schedule is posted, and neither Ford nor Lincoln have any press conferences scheduled at the show, as hard as it is to believe. I thought the quiet showing at Chicago meant they were holding back until NY but I guess not. However Farley is opening the show as the guest speaker at the breakfast, so he might discuss some new product, but no debuts.
  14. For the upcoming NY show, Farley is the opening speaker at the kickoff press breakfast, speaking about global emerging trends. Being he holds such a high position within Lincoln now, I expect he's there to discuss new product too....like the new MKC! I also expect Ford to have some major debut since Chicago was so low key.
  15. I still hold out hope for the 5-door hatch being avail here in a year or two once Flat Rock is up with Fusion production. Unique options like that is what it will take to attack the segment and get to the top.
  16. Maybe one is for Lincoln and the site got it confused (for now)? It would be very odd for Ford division to have to different conferences.
  17. My thought is the dash looks really close to production (aka a production part), just like the MKZ Concept's was, so the interior width is already set if so. So in that case the body would need to be pulled in a bit as those doors look too thick to be production, even if they kept the frameless door glass (unlikely).
  18. FYI the Lincoln Press event is scheduled for this Monday at 9:10am, with the Ford Press event scheduled for the second press day (Tues) at 8:50 am! Its coming fast!
  19. Me too, I read his book and was confounded how he had pics of cars he shot and since came out and he was like "here's a never released model"! Or just plain wrong lableling cars like you said, makes you wonder how he even has spotted new models to begin with! lol
  20. I'm not sure why everyone is confused on this.....we all learned this at the intro, the Hybrid will sport a OP cluster similar to the current Hybrid model while all other MKZ's will use the new wide LCD display. (btw the Modeo also will offer this but not the Fusion of course)
  21. Last I read it was scheduled for Oct 1st, this monday! BTW the owners manual has been released if anyone wants to dig into its features.... http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WOD378/~MUS~LEN/35/13378om1e.pdf
  22. Leather is standard on all MKZ's, it's just a higher grade when you step up to the Reserve model or above....Bridge of Weir leather in fact.
  23. Yes it is the first time an Ecoboost engine is cheaper then the "normal" V6 BUT if you think about it the luxury market usually sets prices based on engine HP/size so I was expecting the 305 HP V6 to be a premium over the 2.0 EB. I think in a few years in the Ford line we'll see the 4 cylinder EB engines to be cheaper than V6 models when offered.
  24. Well the retractable roof is avail on the lesser models for $3000.
