My my things sure have gotten vile around here.

Rich- No I don't think myself better than anyone. Just work hard for my money and can't justify, currently, spending it on a Ford

Mike- "If the Edge had HID headlights and three rows of seating I would have one."

If Grandma had balls she would be Grandpa. If and but don't cut it, either you can live with the products they have now or

you simply don't buy them, as you have chosen not to do.

J-150- Sorry about your mother's Benz, they are beatiful fast cars, albiet unreliable, but beatiful and fast. Alas, it seems you were

unaware of reliable competiting models, let's see. There is the Infiniti G35, Cadillac CTS, Lexus IS 350, Acura TL. Honda Accord

Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Chevrolet Malibu, Infiniti FX, Lexus RX, Cadillac SRX, Lexus GX, Acura MDX, Honda Civic..............

Should I continue?

At least my Ford dealer can fix stuff first time out.

Well...assuming they have the parts.

They make such a vehicle. It is called the Acadia and Enclave. Plus they look much nicer and have a worlds better interior.

If Grandma had balls she would be Grandpa.

suv_guy_19- Will you grow a back bone or are all Canadians like this?

Ed- You must be epidome of the lowest common denominator, at least that is what coming across in your posting. Step away from the

computer and calm down, this is just my opinion. Feel free to purchase any vehicle you like, even a Lincoln. No need to take

my posting into account. Yes Ecoboost sounds promising, but its not available now, odd again considering Mazda has "Ecoboost"

vehicles currently in production. Furthermore, if these ecoboost engines are wrapped around any of Fords current NA

sheetmetal and interiors, why bother?

So why bother telling us? The vast and overwhelming majority of American new car buyers have NOT bought Fords since something like 1926.

Heck, Ford's market share peak, post WW2 is something like 25%.

So, as I said, why bother telling us that you don't find any Fords appealing? As the numbers bear out, you aren't even in the minority, let alone unique.

According to whom? You? What a poor analogy, it has nothing to do with my choices of vehicle nor does it make much sense. You asked a question and I answered it, there's really no need to second guess why I've made my choices.

You started a thread whining about why you won't buy another Ford. What was the point? Should anyone care? Here let me go to the Subaru message board and start a thread on how stupid Subaru is by offering the Forester with a great engine but bogging it down with a 4 spd auto, or how they've turned the WRX into a glorified looking Corolla. See how stupid and silly that sounds.

And good for you working hard for your money. I'm sure the vast majority of people around here work just as hard. You don't see non-Ford owners parading around on a high-horse as you've done since day one. If Ford products are so 'un-worthy' then leave. You don't even appear to be familiar with what Ford has upcoming, judging from your above comments.

Ed's a Canadian, so there's your answer. I really do see no point to this thread. You think Ford has nothing to offer, but over 2M other people in the US do. In other words, I don't really care what you think.

Thats always the case with Ford.

"Just wait until the new Fusion comes out."

"Just wait until the 2009 F-150 comes out."

"Just wait until the Fiesta comes out."

"Just wait until the Flex comes out."

"Just wait until EcoBoost comes out."

"Just wait until the Taurus III comes out."

Etc, etc, etc

Valid question.

Must I be an "epidome"? I've never really thought of myself as any kind of dome.

Let's guess, and say you were trying for "epitome". In that case, you might have a point, because I am certainly not elitist, so "lowest common denominator" sits well with me. That's because driving all those lowly Fords tends to make one less pretentious, something certainly less than desirable for self-absorbed patricians like yourself. :)

I have watched this board go back and forth over the years, and I have come to this conclusion. Continue driving your Fords Mercurys, and Lincolns. I can't do it, at least until this company builds a product that has trully competive in all aspects and not boiled down to the lowest common emotional, mechanical, and functional denominator :boring: . It appears this business model has attracted an audience, I just can't be a part of it. It is trully saddening as I was once a proud supporter of the Blue Oval. There is no life or passion here. I just can't spend my hard earned coing for a (especially Lincoln) ___________ when I can have any number of its superior competitors for the same price? I am begging you Ford, give me a reason, and yet here I am still waiting all these years later.

The reason one should buy Ford is because of the reliability of its products. I have a '99 Ford Ranger with 190K miles, no problems. I have a '99 Ford Escort with 180K miles, only had to replace the alternator. I have an '01 Ford F-250 Super Duty 7.3L with 180K mi, no problems (had to replace a 30 cent fuse, wow.) My sister has an '01 Ford F-150 with 175K miles. Have a '96 F-350 with 160K miles, no problems. My brother has an '02 Chevy S-10. At about 50K miles, he had to have the rear end replaced.

There is stories like that for every brand. There is a guy here that had to have his transmission replaced on his "Lincoln" MKFusion...and he has very low miles on it.

First, why do you guys take my personal criticism of Ford so personally? Second, what is a negaspasm? Third, there is just nothing to heap praise on? This shouldn't be the case especially with the engineering talent of Mazda, FoE, , at their disposal. I want a desirable sedan or hatchback, not a truck, not a SUV, not a Crossover, I am not getting that from FoMoCo. I expect a competive power train, modern conviences, above average quality, low maintenance cost, some personal luxury, emotional design aspects, and exceptional safety. That leaves me with what? Mazda Speed3 and............?

...

What about the new focus, fusion, taurus, new rwd car, and fiesta that are coming out?

You complain too much. What was the point of your post? If you don't like what Ford is offering now, either wait till the new models come out within the next year or two, or buy from a different auto maker.

That's because Ford Negatards zone in on all of Ford's "failures" and none of the successes.

Because Ford didn't jump to new product to save themselves (like GM does) negatards assume nothing has changed.

There are massive changes going on within Ford Motor as it reinvents itself but the big problem is perception

Couldn't have said it better myself. With Ford, its always "coming soon"!! By the time it gets here, the competition is already another 2 steps ahead! :hysterical: :hysterical:

Ford doesn't have anything this guy wants so I don't think anything more can be said.

It's ALWAYS "coming soon"??

Yeah, we're still waiting on the Focus that is increasing in sales.

We're still waiting on the Escape that is increasing sales.

We're still waiting on the Edge that immediately dominated its segment.

We're still waiting on the Mustang that is still a cultural phenomenon.

Fact is, there's a heck of a lot of good product ALREADY out there. Negatards, again, just refuse to even note its existence and instead just focus on the few segments where Ford has new product in the wings but has yet to release it.
