Ford Jellymoulds
Gotta say l had a great weekend watched Stevie in concert at the London O2 Arena Millennium dome on Friday, went to the Isle of Wight International Classic Car show on Saturday with 800 classics on display every classic American/European Ford ever made was present from the Model T to a new Bullet Mustang, it was automotive heaven Capri's, Corvette Stingrays, Chevys, Escorts, Ferrari's, Lambo, Lotus Cortina, MG, Mustangs, GT40 just about every type of pick-up from the 50's to the present day it was a great day out. On the way over to the Island on the ferry l had a look at huge Galaxy that was making it over to the show, and l brought the local paper, it mentioned the new Fiesta would be in on display at the local showrooms in Newport on the Island which were on riverside next to where the Classic Car show was taking place, so l nipped in the showroom the staff looked a bit glum don't know if was because cars are not selling at the moment in the UK or it if was because it was nice a nice sunny Saturday and they wanted to be on one of the local sandy beaches rather than work. The new Fiesta looked a winner both inside and out photo's of it don't do it justice, gotta say Ford have got a sales winner on their books the Kuga in the showroom was the same. rmc523
Looks good, I'll take mine in "Ocean" and leather interior (although I hope they make a tan interior available).
LincolnFan
Wow, I never thought Ford was going to be true to the concept's interior. Great job. Now if they'd only resist changing it for the US. It could kick ass.
BORG
My those are some vivid colours I like how Moon Dust needs to be qualified as Moon Dust Silver, While Spa, Avalon, etc...don't need clarification I am interested in Sea Gray, but would probably chose Panther Black. Gah I hate cat themes! However, I strongly dislike red-backlit dashboards. I don't like them in Pontiac and I especially don't like them in Fords. I can only hope the US version is ice blue, but I'm sure it won't be Edited September 15, 2008 by BORG
calypsocoral
Spa? Squeeze? Those color names make no sense at all. I didn't quite understand "Spa" either, but "Squeeze" was a yellow/green, so I'm assuming that correlates to a squeeze of lemon or lime... I hope we get all of those colors in the U.S.-- I am sick of car companies offering 6 shades of silver/grey, and then only one or two REAL colors... Now if they'd only resist changing it for the US. It could kick ass. Gotta say l was knocked out by the interior it just oozes quality all over it, the quality feel and level of equipment would shame most BMW & Mercedes Benz cars on the market today. It feels almost like a sports car to sit in and has gotta appeal to just about everybody. It has an interior that is second to none at the moment l have gotta agree with you Lincoln this is an absolute world class winner hope Ford in the US leave its 1st world car well alone, it makes you wonder how anybody would want a Focus with its rock hard seats and rather bland interior, the older Mondeo offers comfort but was still very bland inside. It was only a preview day so l don't how it drives, the showroom had only been open for half an hour and they had already sold one Fiesta, the exciting exteriors of both the Fiesta and the new Kuga should should act like a showroom magnet for buyers and once inside and driven they will be smitten. I can see this Fiesta making it to the top spot in Europe no trouble within a year the salesman job will be made very easy it should sell itself. l can't see it making top spot in the US its a bit small, but it will be one of those steady vehicles that won't ever leave the top 5 in the US. It will become the best selling small car in the US because it reeks quality and has the level of equipment that would shame any top of the range BMW or Merc. ibinubu12
Absolutely amazing! When that comes to the US, it had better have that interior and come in that green (Squeeze I think). By that time, my F-150 may be needing replacement anyway, I'd buy one!
Ford Jellymoulds
LOL, funny enough the sales lady first mentioned that you can't have the Black Fiesta its sold. Gotta say l forgot to ask her if it had blue flashing grille lights for "P". Edited September 15, 2008 by Ford Jellymoulds
Hugh
Oooh...that's sharp! Thanks Jelly. I agree with whoever said they're not a fan of the red background. My former roommate had a Mazda 3. Nice ride, power, everything except one thing...the red drove me up the wall. I think the 'My Color' option would be good here or for NA only, Ice blue. I've seen it in the 08 Escape and it's sharp. I actually like the "americanized" nose better... not big on the giant grill opening with a big black chunk of plastic sticking out of the middle of it. just looks like the trim fell off or something.... the_spaniard
I'll take a 3-door hatch in Avalon or the Moondust Silver with leather, EB. If it's as good as some of the early reviews (and makes it here unscrewed-with, hopefully) I may trade the Civic in for it.

Tico
It just me or are all makes of cars starting to look the same? All have the same basic shape in each segment. I guess areodynamics and fuel economy have something to do with it. But to me they are all boring!

Mustang, 300, Vette, Camaro, Challenger are a few that still look like cars and not "jelly molds". Last part just for the jelly dude whatever his/her real name is. :stats:

I guess areodynamics and fuel economy have something to do with it. But to me they are all boring! Me too. I must be getting old because I actually liked the styling of the Verve four-door sedan concept more than this Pontiac Vibish thingy. The rear window on the five-door reminds me of some cartoon character. You know, the one with the helmet and the little slit for its eyes.
