macattak1
LINK-Edmunds.com Sounds like the only major thing they need to address is the Side mirror size and or placement and possibly the C-piller. Great review for Buick on a very nice car. Peace and Blessings
rmc523
Yeah it does seem like a nice car. And have they even compared the 2010 MKZ to the ES that they're able to talk about it like that?
630land
Buick bashing is so passe', like some 46 y/o trying to wear tight clothes when he is too fat. The 'Carl on Cars' guy in Edmunds is a good example, goes on and on about how Buick owners are 'stupid old people'. But, he looks like some nerdy guy who thinks he is cool. Has the bad combover to try to hide baldness [just shave head], and looks like he never exercises, "cool"? no f-in way! RichardJensen
"the car sometimes forgets to return the seat to the driving position" Yeah. They're going to catch up with Lexus in no time.

mustang84isu
It's nice to see a GM product on par with Lexus quality, but the LaCrosse's styling just leaves me cold. Why are modern sedans getting so tall and bloated looking? The MKS suffers from this a little, but not as bad as the LaCrosse. It sits up like an AMC Eagle and has the proportions of a Japanese compact.
Mark8LSC CE0464
"the car sometimes forgets to return the seat to the driving position" Yeah. They're going to catch up with Lexus in no time. My 11 year old Lincoln still remembers to return the seat to the driving position, and the steering wheel too!

twintornados
So it's their newest "Camry fighter"? Thought Buick was supposed to be the BMW fighter division now that Pontiac has gone to the great scrap yard in the sky....Shouldn't Chevrolet be the "Camry fighter" division? And....funny they call it a "Camry fighter" when the test is against the Lexus ES.....

Cadillac is the BMW fighter, Buick is the Lexus fighter, Chevy is the Toyota fighter, at least that was my understanding of it......but with GM the plan changes every day, so maybe you got a more recent memo... And....funny they call it a "Camry fighter" when the test is against the Lexus ES..... Well, actually, Cadillac is supposed to be the BMW fighter................ except for when it is the Lexus fighter. Buick is supposed to be the Lexus fighter.................. except for when it is the Chevy, Cadillac, GMC, Toyota, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Honda, Acura fighter. Its all very confusing. All I know, is the new SRX is the nicest Buick, since the Enclave. :D
RichardJensen
And herein lies the rub: Why would I buy a Buick that looks kind of like a Lexus, with about the amount of gadgetry as a Lexus for about the same price as a Lexus? With the Fusion vs. the Camry/Accord, you had AWD & style as differentiators, with the MKZ AWD, price (and to a certain extent, style) were differentiators. What differentiates the Buick & the Lexus? The fact that the Buick is perhaps -more- of a Lexus than the Lexus? Meaning that it only appeals to people that are happy Lexus customers? This is the problem with "Lexus fighter" product strategies: Even if you -exceed- the product you are benchmarking, you haven't done anything to convince brand loyal fans to switch. The thing is, you may get plenty o' positive press (as seen with the CTS), but you won't win over customers unless you can differentiate your product--as in, "you should buy a Buick because....." And as a general swipe, a Buick with a nearly 500lb weight penalty to the Lexus dang well better have a bigger backseat. Also, the writer of the review's an idiot.
