catan70
Is it me or is this just a little premature? Looks rammish... http://www.autoblog.com/2015/04/10/chevy-silverado-spy-shots/
92merc
I agree. Too much Ram look with the quad grille. I'm sure the RAMbois will be screaming "COPY!". Maybe they are intentionally doing it. Instead of trying to keep up with Ford, they are just trying to stay ahead of RAM.
Anthony
I think that is just a retaining belt for the camo, not a vertical bar in the grill.
RichardJensen
Is it just me, or have they made the wheel wells even squarer? That ain't gonna look right until they start making square tires.
Pioneer
How is GM not going to look like hypocrites when they introduce more aluminum onto their truck when their current ads boast of 'high strength cold-rolled steel"?
fuzzymoomoo
How is GM not going to look like hypocrites when they introduce more aluminum onto their truck when their current ads boast of 'high strength cold-rolled steel"? Oh they are, they are just hoping people don't notice.
jpd80
This is GM not following Ford but more or less heading in the same direction but going the long way around...
Mad Hatter
How is GM not going to look like hypocrites when they introduce more aluminum onto their truck when their current ads boast of 'high strength cold-rolled steel"? They'll walk it back by probably saying something like "we kept it steel where it matters, and took weight off to make it even more fuel-efficient". PREMiERdrum
Honest to God, true story. When the K2xx trucks came out, there were a few passing mentions to the "lightweight" (Aluminum) hood helping with fuel economy. The Silverado (non HD) has 2 different part numbers for the hood: One is Aluminum, one isn't. The ones built in Mexico all have steel hoods, whereas the ones at Flint have Aluminum hoods. The GMC's, regardless of where they're built, all have Aluminum hoods. And that, folks, is a nice little anecdote to illustrate today's GM.
