Found this yesterday

If the vehicle was damaged in transit, after inspection it would be categorized according to the following schedule, and the information noted in the Vehicle Visibility report.

Vehicle Damaged
The vehicle was damaged and may require inspection by a third party insurance provider. The carrier name displays in parenthesis.

U.S. & Canada

Vehicle Damaged - Category A
AMRO has determined the damage is repairable and the disclosable damage does not exceed the limit identified in the "Warranty and Policy Manual". In accordance with Ford Motor Company policy, the unit can be sold as new and it will be forwarded to the ship-to location. Dealers/Fleets will receive a copy of the AMRO estimate from DVO.

Vehicle Damaged - Category B
AMRO has determined the unit is repairable, however, it cannot be sold as new and it will not be forwarded to the ship-to location. The unit will be sold at auction. It is recommended that Dealers/Fleets reorder the vehicle and request expedited action.

Vehicle Damaged - Category C & D
AMRO has determined that the damage is un-repairable, the unit cannot be sold, and it will not be forwarded to the ship-to location. The damage has been severe and the unit will be scrapped. It is recommended that Dealers/Fleets reorder the vehicle and request expedited action.

Vehicle Damaged - Category F
AMRO has determined the damage is repairable, however the disclosable damage exceeds the limit identified in the "Warranty and Policy Manual". In accordance with Ford Motor Company policy, the unit cannot be sold as new and it will not be forwarded to the ship-to location. The unit will be sold at auction. It is recommended that Dealers/Fleets reorder the vehicle and request expedited action.

Ok BUT, Ford doesn’t have a hold against the Truck according to the person that works at KTP and researched it yesterday for me.  He said, “Ford is NOT the one holding it, it’s the shipper”.  The shipper has nothing to do with anything other than delivery.  My uncle’s 6.7 has no PM sensor and operates just fine.  No CEL either.  Does the auto regen.  All good

Not saying they won’t run without the pm sensor. Looks like some were built WITH the sensor but programmed to NOT have it. I’m being told rail delay myself but was also built during the timeframe of this document. Who and what are we supposed to believe when diesel trucks built in the last few weeks have already been delivered to their new owners.

The wait is brutal. Is it worth the aggravation? I would say yes. 9+ months before it arrived and limited information given by the dealership once it was shipped. The ride is brutal but in the end run, I couldn’t have chosen a better truck. Hang in there fellas!

My delivery window "ended" today.  My trucks been sitting in the Miami rail yard since June 10th. My sales guy pulled up the VVR and now it shows delivery mid JULY! Its less than an hour away! He says theyre gonna call down there to find out why but im not holding my breath.

That was exactly my thoughts… Any advice?
can a dealer delay it on purpose? I traded my truck in three weeks ago to them so they’re sitting on 50K of mine interest free

Well, you certainly are not coming across as a capitalist. 😁 That's the thinking of those who grew up under the participation trophy era, as it seems you are saying dealers should not be free to choose what they price vehicles at so it can be fair to under achieving dealers. No winners or losers, right? 🙄

Price fixing is not a free market and is indeed the mindset of socialists. Springer Farms is not dictating to Kroger how much to charge for their chicken. Under your proposal, they would be. Loss leaders have been a sound business practice since the beginning of time. Because some people prefer not to travel, your saying those who do should be forced to pay a higher price to appease those who won't? Competition forces excellence. Saying someone's business model is stupid is quite biased and opiniated with no basis in fact. Let the free market decide.

As for being stuck in a que, retail orders are incremental allocation. Without supply constraints, vehicles would be getting delivered in a timely fashion regardless of dealer volume.

FWIW - If Ford decides to fix pricing across all dealers then it is still a free capitalist market.   Ford is the manufacturer and gets to decide how they want to compete in the market. In some industries the manufacturers enforce strict pricing policies and in some industries they leave pricing up to the retailers.  Both have their pros and cons.

We started at Priority 10 and then got dropped down to Priority 2 after our dealership requested it.  They put all 3 of our trucks as separate retail orders in each of our names.

I cannot say enough great things about our Dealership which is Courtesy Ford of Atlanta, GA

Is that Courtesy Ford in Conyers Ga?  Just trying to make sure I talk with the right dealer.

With all the transportation issues, it would be hard to imagine a Dealer telling the ramp they didn't want a vehicle! The transport company's dispatch department is going to try to get vehicles delivered and out of the ramp.

Went to the dealer Saturday to pick up our ordered truck, after spending a few hours there we left with out it. We had 2 issues with the dealer. First they wanted to apply the Z plan to the new invoiced price and not honor the ordered price. The other issue was they  said there was a recall on the truck and that it had a demonstration/sale hold on it. After some back a forth, I think the price situation is resolved. I'm dealing with a new GM, just my luck the GM I had been dealing with quit 3 weeks before my order showed up. As far as the recall goes I was wondering if anyone out there has heard of a time line for the software update. Looking for a better time line that the 2 months listed in the notice.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You are right. It’s Courtesy Ford in Conyers, GA. They have been great. They aren’t greedy like a lot of the other dealerships around Atlanta. They have been honest and responsive the whole time.

My truck was built May 24th and is still awaiting to be shipped. The tracking website says the truck would be shipped in a few days to one week. Now it’s been 2 weeks.

Window sticker says shipping via convoy.

Is this typical lately?

Original ordered November 11th so this has been a long wait.

Can people let me know how long their truck took to ship once built? Thanks.

My truck: F250 Lariat crew cab BAP,  FX4 , arrived at the dealer yesterday. 11 days before the earlier estimated date on the Ford Tracker (once it shipped). We get to pick her up tomorrow!

I will post photos.

You mean they didn’t take your deposit then sell the vehicle to someone else, then offer you a replacement at a discount then try to add $1400 in worthless add ons like nitrogen and glass etching and paint protection like Angela Krause Lincoln In Alpharetta?

Hey everyone! Been awhile since I've been on here been pretty quiet from Ford, and without the amazing Cyberdman, I've been sitting in radio silence hoping for good news for the past few months. Sometime early last week I got an email from my salesperson that stated Ford was showing the Multi-Contour Seats as a high commodity option. For those of you that may not know, those are the massaging seats, very cool option and one I was excited to have. I told my salesperson to leave it on there and I would continue to wait even if it took longer. A couple days after that communication with my salesperson, Thursday evening, I got the email that I was scheduled for build on July 25th! Now, although I was on cloud 9, I was a little bit skeptical, because I had not removed the multi-contour seats and they had just said those would not be scheduled. Friday morning, I called my salesperson to confirm if the truck was scheduled with the massage seats and he noted that he never took them off (which I do believe) but was surprised to see that Ford had automatically removed the option themselves. I was originally extremely frustrated, as my understanding was that removing the seats was an option and would just cause you to wait longer, however it seems to me like Ford is no longer doing the multi-contour for the rest of the 22MY orders. In addition, I am only getting a $300 credit? That seems extremely low, that option MUST cost more than $300. I am going to attempt to negotiate to get a little bit more out of my dealer when the truck arrives, but I think that a $300 credit for an option that I think is a key part of the higher trim levels is a little bit of a slap in the face. Especially considering these wait times (I ordered Feb 9 which I know isn't as long as some but still). In hindsight, I have become less frustrated with not having them as I have heard from people that the normal seats are actually more comfortable just to sit in, and that people don't use the massaging feature all that often. I am still frustrated with how the whole thing was handled on Ford's end, not with my direct salesperson, but the higher person handling these things. Just seems like it could have been better. In any case, I am still very much excited to get my hands on this thing, my guess is that if it is built July 25th, I figure a month for shipping, and I have it by end of August. I'm curious if the build dates are still getting bumped back like they were 4 months ago, or if peoples original build dates are starting to be more accurate? Also found out the company that I have started with has X-plan, does anyone know what kind of discounts can be expected with this? My salesperson wasn't too sure, and I understand it likely varies from company to company, just trying to find a ball-park estimate. Thank you!

The seat delete has been discussed in detail - go back a few pages or do a search.

X plan would save about $3k give or take but the dealer has to agree to accept it - it’s 100% voluntary.

10-4 Ill check it out, and sounds good, that's kinda what I had figured, he did say they usually accepts the X-plan. Been very pleased with this dealer. Do you happen to have any input on how accurate the build dates have been recently? I can take a look I just haven't been on in awhile and I wasn't sure if you might have an immediate opinion on it? Thank you sir!

Hi Alex. X-Plan and X-Plan Partner Company pricing is based off Dealer Invoice price (see below), and does not vary from company to company.

Here is the basic X-Plan pricing breakdown:

Ford Dealer Invoice - (0.4% * Dealer Invoice) + Administration Fee*
Lincoln Dealer Invoice + (0.6% * Dealer Invoice) + Administration Fee*

*The Administration Fee is $275. Then, the Dealer can also add a "Documentation Fee" of up to $100.

And here is the X-Plan Partner website, which contains an Overview, X-Plan rules, FAQ's etc: https://www.fordpartner.com/partnerweb/jsp/howitworks/fordpartner_rules.htm#faq26

And as akirby stated, Dealership acceptance of X-Plan sales is strictly voluntary, so be sure to ask your chosen Dealership if they will accept an X-Plan sale for your order.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

As I write this post, I am still scheduled for production the week of 27 June, next week.  (However, I still dread a late email pushing me back, again.)  I understand that the window sticker should be viewable between 1 to 7 days prior to production, but my window sticker still has not populated.  I am leaving for international business travel tomorrow and will be gone for 4 weeks.  If the truck gets built and delivery beats my expectation, it could arrive before I return. My dealer says they will not sell my truck out from under me if they have to hold it for some time until my return.  Needless to say, I’m getting a little anxious something will not go well. What timeframe are others seeing as far as window sticker availability?
