Ford Maverick 300T Project Kit Should Arrive In 2026
According to Matthew Simpson, Ford's Executive Director of Accessories and Personalization, the Ford Maverick 300T project kit will be "available to customers in 2026." This is obviously good news for Maverick owners that want a bit more sportiness from their compact pickups, not to mention more power than the Lobo offers as well.
Depends on the segment. You have a lot of Maverick buyers that come from regular sedans, so they want more fuel economy. But on the flip side, there are other folks that want more power too.
It kills me when people say “why can’t Ford do this vehicle that Kia is doing”.
Why can’t Kia do a Maverick or Bronco or Bronco Sport or Ranger or F150 or Mustang or Transit or Super Duty?
Each company is unique regarding institutional knowledge and experience, reputation and market position. You invest your capital where it makes the most sense for your company.
I don’t expect it to be earth shattering but I do think it will be very popular similar to the Maverick launch. If they can truly keep the price to $30k with decent range and equipment they’ll sell a lot of them.
The changes are pretty minor and are already in other products...if this is offered in an OEM package from the factory, I'd say that the extra money they can charge for it will def outweigh the small additional costs. The higher trim models (Lobo, Lariat and Tremor) already 5-10K more then the entry level models..this would command another $3-5K on top of those prices.
As for the hybrid thing-is that because Ford is producing more hybrids for models on the lots? The hybrid as of 2026 costs more then 2.0L ecoboost models in the same trim levels.
No one said it wasn’t. People are much more likely to purchase something if it comes from the factory instead of a dealer installed option that costs thousands of dollars. If this 300T was an additional trim, it would probably sell pretty well, but I have to believe being a custom garage item will limit its popularity.
