As long as it has the same capabilities, that's fine. However, my question is not understanding how you're going from literal global volume of a product and platform, back to regionalized approach with a US-only product if they go the giga-cast route. I question whether the ROW will like this approach to replace Ranger globally with this method? That's my hang up here.

Who says it has to be BOF or a typical ladder frame? You guys aren't thinking outside the box. Your kidding yourself if you think the skunkworks was ONLY about BEVs. It's about an entirely new way of building vehicles. That's why it's such a huge deal. If Ford makes this work, it's going to revolutionize the way they build vehicles, and should allow much better profit margins. (and hopefully lower costs for consumers). My money is on the TTP mid-sized truck (aka Ranger replacement) being a giga-casted uni-body style vehicle without a traditional ladder frame. It will have AT LEAST as much capability as the Ranger. EDIT: Read this: https://leandesign.com/cybertruck-body-structure-comparison/ I'm not saying it's going to be identical to the CT, but it gives an idea of what's possible when you think outside the box. I think something similar is what is happening with the Ranger replacement. -
Bronco Truck would likely be a higher end/Raptor not a Ranger replacement. Ford needs a midsizer in between Maverick and F150 that better competes with Tacoma with higher margins. More power and payload/towing, same price but 10% cheaper to build. Maybe it's modular so you can do more cab and bed configurations.

Make Ranger Raptor a Bronco and free up MAP to make a new Lincoln.

I've believed all along the Tennessee truck would be a ranger replacement, likely a bronco truck. I'm just saying if this proves to be true, you're gonna end up with the maverick, the CE1 truck, and the bronco truck as a ranger replacement, all catering to the midsized affordable truck crowd. The market for midsized trucks is big, but is it big enough to justify three offerings from Ford? -
Why is it so hard to comprehend a replacement for Ranger? Non Raptors aren't burning up the sales charts and margins probably aren't great. 100k isn't huge volume. Maybe they figured out how to make a new midsized pickup with similar capability at a much lower price and higher profit margins? Maybe next gen Maverick moves to the same platform later.

I'm not saying it can't be done, or that there's no demand, there obviously is demand for affordable midsized trucks. It's just offering three of those might be slicing the pie too thin. Ford really has to think about how to differentiate them beyond one being slightly bigger, or one being an EV, and the others being gas imo. Personally, I believe Ford should keep maverick around, evolve it, improve on it for the next gen. Then make the Tennessee truck a Jeep gladiator rival using the bronco platform, maybe with styling close to the scout truck, as I've said that's the best looking of the boxy rugged trucks imo. Then CE1 as an electric cab forward truck, and if people respond well to the short good of the CE1 truck, maybe it'd successor adopts an even more cab forward design and becomes even more space efficient. So you have three midsized affordable trucks. But one is an efficient hybrid with conventional styling. The second is an affordable EV that has unconventional styling, a shorter hood, but lots of interior space and good long term reliability. Then you have the bronco truck with its body on frame design and rugged capabilities. That's how I would do it if you're gonna do a lot of trucks. Because there wouldn't be a ton of overlap and cross model cannibalism. The CE1 truck and bronco truck would both be midsized affordable trucks, but that's it. -

How new can it actually be to make it cheaper? Apparently the next gen F-150 is getting some sort of gigacasting process, but that remains to see what actually pans out on that and how much its going to save time/money with it. Gigacastings work in a unibody product, but how much are you going to save with a ladder frame style pickup? Plus once again it would be downright stupid to add another product that would be identical to the Ranger in most regards unless Ford is moving on from the T6, which doesn't seem likely since the Bronco will most definitely be around post 2030 in its current form, but with updates. Not to mention that Ford would have repeat whatever its doing at TTP at 5 other different plants across the world. There is no indication that the T6 is up for replacement in 2029/30 time frame. -

That's just my assumption based on how Fords described it. We know the CE1 is it's own thing, platform, design, etc, so it's an additional new truck model rather than being like an electric version of the existing maverick. I don't see the maverick going anywhere, or being replaced. Ford considers it one of their icons, and it's been insanely successful. We've heard rumors that Ford might move BS production to another factory so Ford would be able to produce even more mavericks. It's not gonna be killed off and replaced with something else, the maverick name is too valuable now and has a ton of success and good will, so killing maverick in favor of another small gas truck wouldn't make much sense imo. Furthermore, we know the Tennessee truck is apparently a new product, not just a variant of an existing truck. So it's not just gonna be like a maverick with an even more bare bones interior or something. So that means it's looking like we're gonna have the CE1 truck, the maverick, the Tennessee truck, the f-150, and the super duty. Depending on how affordable the Tennessee truck ends up being, that means we could end up with three different truck models all trying to appeal to value oriented consumers in the mid-sized truck space. -
I didn't say unibody although I think it is still a possibility. You guys are ignoring the potential for huge cost savings here with a new type of product.
