You missed his point. At its price range, it's competing with both the RX and the X5. He's arguing that switching to RWD will help it better compete with the X5 side of the equation at the price point they're charging.

Lexus has no black label equivalent as far as I can tell. Comparably equipped they're virtually the same price.

I'm guessing they need product with the regulations coming down in Australia? Maybe it was easier to do then the typical ICE model is? -
Those would probably do very well for fleet sales. Some, but lesser for retail.

Surprised that Ford engineered RHD given that Australia and New Zealand are the only feasible markets for this vehicle. Maybe 2 or 3K sales a year? Talk about low volume...
