Government fleet sales are completely different than mass rental fleet dumping.

I think this is him. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv6qItYDf40FBxbLdDex_lQ

I think it will because they're already seeing the financial benefits.

Exactly. I'd say he's 85% right but if you dare question him on the other 15% or point out his mistakes then he gets his panties in a wad. He just enjoys being the guy who knows more than you do. Fun fact - at one time he made youtube unboxing videos.

I'm talking about small volume high performance versions - like a new Focus RS but tied to WRC.

Meh maybe because they are slightly underpowered? I had a Hybrid Elantra when I went to CA awhile ago and had an old Fusion Hybrid and never felt like they had enough guts to them. At least with an EV you get a ton of torque that makes them "feel" fast. Just as an example, you can recharge a 60 kwh battery at 50% for under $6 at .19 kwh cost. At how much gas costs these days, well one tank of gas would go a long way to recharging an EV (if its reasonably easy to do so for you) -

Think the vast majority of makers aren't selling cars to "fleet" markets aren't discounting them to the point that they aren't making money on them. Manufactures pretty much stopped over producing back before 2010, if not earlier. That is also bore out by how expensive the used car market is and how low the supply is vs what it was say 30 years ago. -
Exactly. Sure there may be some smaller fleets passenger cars and light trucks that may wish to trade in while their vehicles still have good resale and they want new vehicles to enhance their image. I agree that Ford gives the 650 and 750 very little marketing attention (even in the trade publications) but to include it in the CPO ads is a head-scatcher!

Ford Gets Third Place, Narrowly Holds Off Hyundai In Q3 2026 Sales According to CNBC, Ford narrowly held on to third place in terms of U.S. sales, which declined 6.6 percent during the third quarter to 507,395 units. That was just barely enough to edge out Hyundai/Kia in Q3, as that automaker posted a 5.4 percent increase to 506,200 units. Ford CEO Jim Farley recently revealed that F-Series supplier issues would likely hurt the automaker's Q3 sales, and that seems to be the case here.
