I think you meant to say the S was the best looking? And, sure, X/3 were more popular, but like I said, S sales were also bound to collapse/never rebound when it's largely the same car visually from 2012 until 2026..... The 3 still sells well, but is about 40% of the volume of the Y.

Thanks! Nerd alert, but I like following stuff like that if it's a subject I'm interested in and/or like making spreadsheets for stuff..... That said, I can't take credit for the black and white table above - found a great resource for EV specific sales figures that aren't reported directly by manufacturer in the monthly/quarterly charts (like Ford does breaking out Lightning, for instance)......only annoying thing is that they come about 2 weeks after companies report their figures, which is why I always have to add in/mention EV numbers later/after the fact, but still adds a lot of clarity to the EV sales picture.

I know, I know it's just a personal preference. Every time I see one - even on a 911 - I think they just forgot to paint it. Would much rather have a light grey like our ceramic pearl Nautilus.

S tanked because the X and 3 were much more desirable cars. Shame too, I always thought the 3 was the best looking of the bunch -
Get the handcuffs then, cuz white looks damn fine on any Ford Mustang, any generation. Speakin' of which, I got to drive a couple laps in this white RTR Spec 3 at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia last week 😎

The Ford marketing big shots have often used the word replaced or changed rather than deleted in the context of de-contenting, which has obviously hit Mustang coupe and convertible hard in the past few years. 2026 Mustang order guide has these examples: Auto-dimming Rearview mirror changed to Manual Flip Framed Rearview Mirror Aluminum Foot Pedals replaced with Black Rubber Foot Pedals Replaced Heated, Pony Puddle Lamp Sideview Mirrors with Sideview Mirrors

Thanks rmc523 my friend, you are a master when it comes to gathering, organizing, and presenting data like this. Appreciate your efforts! 👍

Finally was able to add Rivian and Tesla figures to my charts.....I know it's not fully related to this topic, but still shows the difference between the companies..... Rivian must've had a big order for its vans in Q3: Also, here are Rivian and Tesla sales overall: R2 seems off to a good start: Tesla is still by far the market EV leader with 54% market share in Q3 and 52.9% YTD...
