Like Sherm mentioned, it could be a long shot, a very long shot, but maybe we'll get something related to the off-road raptor supercar. Ford's been talking about like 3 years now publically. So if it's still moving forward, we're probably gonna see something soon. -
Highly doubt it - I'd imagine any Mustang hybrid would be more similar to F-150 PowerBoost with the motor in the transmission (or some other upcoming system). Great.....now I have to read all your posts in an accent 😛

Even then, if it becomes a feature at all, it won't be street legal. There's no way Tesla is gonna make it possible to fart highly compressed air and debris onto the car behind you stopped at a light. It's gonna be track only. Maybe the car will use GPS to know when it's on a track, and only then unlock those features. -
Looks like the R2 product launch catapulted Rivian into second place among all EV brands in August 2026: EV market share rose from 6.2% in July to 6.5% in August, according to Automotive News data. Rivian, of all companies, climbed to second among EV brands thanks to early demand for its more affordable R2 SUV. A startup that nearly ran out of cash two years ago is now outselling most legacy automakers in the electric space.

We'll have to wait and see, but if that's what it is, that's bullshit. I'm feeling so cheated as a Ford fan lately. All these awesome concepts and new products everyone else is getting, and we get like a mildly tweaked bumper on an SUV and a teaser for a documentary on a truck that's existed for decades. -
Yea, this is what Abby Grajek, vehicle integration engineer for Ford Maverick said about HF55: Every component of the new HF55 hybrid transaxle (now used in all Maverick Hybrid versions) is uprated while continuing to fit within the same package size as its predecessor. Torque from the drive motor rises from 235 to 320 Newton-meters (173 to 236 pound-feet), while the generator’s power output goes from 78 to 96 kilowatts (105 to 129 horsepower).

If it's just a story of the first Raptor's "birth", that's kind of anticlimactic and doesn't need a reveal date like that, IMO.....
