Those people wanted big discounts on it, beyond the rebates. When there wasn't a discount, they walked away, which is OK. It's OK to ask for a discount, don't get me wrong there, but when it's asked on a much harder to find vehicle, it's less likely to happen. And if there were a bunch of these trucks around, then maybe, but that's not the case here. Plus, when someone drives from BFE, it's not likely because there's 50 vehicles like the one in question between there and here. The fellow who's buying it (sold it yesterday afternoon) specifically came in looking for a used, SuperCab, F-150 with a V8 and 6.5 foot box. I don't have any of those, either, because I'm in a very small store, our customers who have them don't cough them up very often, and when they do, they're sold before they even hit the lot. As it turned out, my only F-150 with a 6.5 foot box and V8 was this regular cab. Happy local customer, which is the most important thing for us.

We already know the CD6 expansion is being slowed to incorporate CE1 elements to reduce costs. That platform seems like it could be a candidate for uni-castings among other CE1 learnings. For BOF products I don’t see uni-castings but zonal electrical architecture to enable SDV, steer by wire and brake by wire seem very plausible.

I'm hoping to see how it does behind the 3.0L in a 2027 Raptor in about 5 months... -

My first Automatic I owned was a 6F and now I have the 10R in my Bronco, both where/are great transmissions and this is coming from someone who owned nothing but 3 peddle cars prior to 2013 I've been around atrocious automatic transmissions-people conveniently forget how terrible transaxles where in cheaper products like the Escort in the early 1980s...my family had an 82 Wagon that was lucky to get out of its own way. -

Durability is really nebulous-I see other owners of Broncos having all sorts of issues with their cars on social media and message boards, but at the same time mine has been more or less perfect at the same time. Shit cars happen at times (my SVT Focus was one of them) but for the most part my Fords have been pretty good or at least didn't leave me stranded up the creek without a paddle. I've seen two more or less identical cars (outside of trim) made the same year have completely different ownership experiences for the people that owned them (my sister and my wife had same year Escapes-one had a Limited, my wife had an XLT) and the Limited was a POS. -
And the 10R60 is also amazing in my Ranger. Love it.

I did a quick search on the aviator sales and its pretty low vs its competition, but at this point I don't think Lincoln is worried about being the number 1 selling luxury maker either, so its just gravy for Ford? -
Weren't we hearing 2028-9 on those? I think Bronco itself is 2030?

And I think you just made Ford's point as to the reason it's being discontinued. Apparently, it's not wanted too bad, or one of those folks would have taken it home. They're just looking for a deal. -

You can keep your 4 or 6 speed transmissions and I'll take the 10 speeds thanks! Other than a couple hiccups on occasion, I love the 10 speed in our Bronco and Super Duty. The 10 speed is amazing when towing with the diesel.
