    • Huge difference with Lincoln though, the software wasn’t developed in China. Should make it a lot easier to plead their case.
    • Even if they brought the Ranger Super Duty over, I fail to see what exactly it offers over the a lower end F-150.    I'm looking at it from a customer perspective-   The Ranger is quite possibly is too "big"/costs too much for its own good-its in that neither region that is dominated by the Tacoma and has hard ceiling with the F-150 above it. If you want something smaller/cheaper, the Maverick fits the bill and that segment is going to get even more crowded by the CE1 Pickup with some customers.    Unless Ford is planning on pushing the F-150 much higher in price, adding a F-100/Super Duty Ranger isn't going to do much in the market.
    • Huh?  I am saying it's the Ranger replacement here.  Calling it F-100 makes it seem like a completely different model, different size etc vs. global Ranger........I don't see what calling it F-100 does, but that's me.   I don't think the "Ranger" name is what's holding the product back.   That said, if they do go with that name, hope they don't pull shenanigans of tallying F-100 sales under F-series
    • I've pulled ours off twice.  It's a bit un-nerving because you do have to pull it pretty hard once you have the quarter-turn clips unhooked.  But, all came off and went back on well.
    • Ford Just Went From Recall Nightmare To America's Highest-Quality Car Brand - Autoblog   2026 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS) | JD Power     Porsche is the highest-ranking brand overall in initial quality with a score of 138 PP100. Among premium brands, Genesis (151 PP100) ranks second and Lexus (156 PP100) ranks third. Among mass market brands, Ford ranks highest with a score of 152 PP100. Nissan (156 PP100) ranks second and Buick (162 PP100) ranks third. The parent corporation receiving the most model-level awards is BMW (six awards). Hyundai Motor Group (five awards) ranks second and General Motors Company (four awards) ranks third. Among brands, BMW receives the most segment awards (six). Ford and Hyundai rank second, in a tie, each with three segment awards. BMW models that rank highest in their respective segment are BMW 2 Series, BMW 5 Series, BMW 8 Series, BMW X2, BMW X6 and BMW X7. Hyundai Motor Group models that rank highest in their respective segment are Hyundai Santa Cruz, Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Venue, Kia Carnival and Kia K4. General Motors models that rank highest in their respective segment are Cadillac CT4, Cadillac XT5, Chevrolet Blazer and Chevrolet Tahoe. Ford Motor Company models that rank highest in their respective segment are Ford F-150, Ford Mustang and Ford Super Duty. Volkswagen AG has the highest-ranking model overall, the Porsche 911, with 110 PP100.             I guess the quality improvements are working.   Ford went from just below the average at 193 PP100 to 152 PP100 this year.     Lincoln went from 206 to 179, but still below the average.   Interestingly, the average improved a lot too, from 192 to 175.....I wonder if removing Chrysler had an affect.
    • I am sure they will handle that dockside when the vehicle comes off the boat.
    • You know, I've wanted to pull my fender flares off to wash under them, and I've always been afraid to do it (don't want to break any clips etc.)
    • The US Just Banned Polestar From Selling New Cars, Even The One It Builds In America | Carscoops   Polestar can no longer sell new cars in the United States past the 2027 model year. The US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security refused the EV maker the clearance it needs to keep doing business in the country, citing the Connected Vehicle Rule. Geely owns a majority stake in the brand, and that Chinese ownership is the reason the rule bites. The Connected Vehicle Rule, finalized under the Biden administration, bars cars with Chinese or Russian software and hardware in their connectivity systems from the US market on national-security grounds. The fear is data and remote access, a connected car built within Beijing’s reach feeding information home or tampered with from afar. Software restrictions land first, for the 2027 model year, with the hardware side following in 2030. Automakers need an authorization to sell in America, and while Polestar didn’t get one, sister brand Volvo, also Geely-owned, secured a waiver in May. Lincoln and Buick will have to clear the same hurdle, since both sell Chinese-built models in the States.   Polestar doesn’t appear to be contesting the decision either, and its own numbers might explain why. The U.S. was never where the money came from, with 94 percent of its retail sales in the first quarter of 2026 landing outside America. CEO Michael Lohscheller is pointing what’s left toward Europe and other growth markets. “The automotive industry is entering a new phase, based on regional dynamics,” he said in a statement.     -----           This announcement doesn't bode well for Nautilus (or for importing Corsair), unless they're putting completely different software/hardware in US-bound versions.
    • Here are views of the passenger screen cover and the storage bin behind the center screen.  I will never understand why companies highlight specific features like that and never include photos, and you have to dig through several videos to find it.   I also find it amusing that they don't even include any photos of the rear of the truck for the debut.       Overall, it's a good looking truck.  I find the vertical grille bars in the lower grille clash with the rest of the design, but otherwise it's a clean, handsome design (as the GMC version tend to be, vs. the more busy Chevy look)     Here's the taillight:

Denali Ultimate: Technology, comfort and performance at the top of the lineup The 2027 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate advances GMC’s flagship full‑size pickup with premium comfort features, standard V8 power, exclusive design details, and a cabin centered on technology and refinement. Under the hood, Denali Ultimate features a standard 6.6L V8, the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class1. Inside, Denali Ultimate features more than 60 inches of combined digital displays – the most in its class3, including: A new, largest in class 16.3‑inch diagonal infotainment screen4 positioned for easy reach and visibility with class exclusive articulation and storage5. A largest in class 11.5‑inch diagonal front passenger screen with articulating cover1, that offers the passenger media and entertainment functions. A 12.2‑inch diagonal Driver Information Center featuring a modern and intuitive look, while delivering configurable vehicle information directly in the driver’s line of sight. A 15-inch diagonal multicolor Head Up Display (HUD) which projects key information, including speed, navigation, and available driver assistance alerts6, onto the windshield to help provide a more confident driving experience. An 8.5-inch diagonal Rear Camera Mirror6 can provide a wider, less obstructed view behind the vehicle than a traditional mirror, which can be helpful when the bed or rear seats are loaded for additional visibility. A class‑exclusive articulating center screen1 integrates hidden storage behind the display, helping keep the cabin organized while preserving quick access to frequently used items. An articulating cover allows for the transition between the full front passenger screen and a slimmer display. This screen execution takes GMC’s tech-forward ethos to a new level and resets expectations for what a truck can be and deliver. The Bose Premium Series audio system with 16-speakers includes class-exclusive front head restraint mounted speakers5, tuned specifically for the cabin to deliver a detailed, immersive sound experience. Complementing the interior, Denali Ultimate comes standard with a three-year subscription to Super Cruise driver assistance technology7 that includes trailering capability, enabling hands‑free driving on more than 600,000 miles of compatible roads across the U.S. and Canada, including when towing – a feature not offered by any competitor in its class8. Super Cruise supports additional features such as Automatic Lane Change and Turn Signal Initiated Lane Change and is designed to enhance long‑distance comfort and driver confidence. AT4X: Off‑road domination with signature GMC precision For adventure and unrelenting exploration, the 2027 Sierra 1500 AT4X builds on Sierra’s off‑road credentials with new hardware and function specifically chosen for the most demanding terrains, and represents the brand’s most off-road capable Sierra AT4X ever2. Key AT4X capability highlights include: A Sierra first 35” Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, engineered for traction and durability in challenging off‑road conditions. New Multimatic Jounce Control Dampers, tuned to help manage high‑speed off‑road impacts and rough surfaces while maintaining precision, control and composure. Front and rear e-locking differentials (e‑lockers), a combination not offered on any competitor in its class2 – working with different drive modes to help optimize traction on a variety of surfaces. Visually, AT4X is distinguished by unique exterior cues including exclusive hood design, a more purposeful stance including a 2” suspension lift and new front fascia. Inside, an exclusive Timber Mahogany colorway is designed to balance durability and comfort, with an interior featuring front seats with enhanced bolstering, a sport flat bottom steering wheel, and a standard panoramic sunroof. Details feature perforation patterns, piping, quilting and embroidery, as well as stainless steel door speaker grilles, reinforcing AT4X as a truck that can handle serious off‑road use while still feeling refined on the drive home.
